This is EXACTLY why the NRA position of permit structures at state level control is so dangerous. If folks would think about it, this is essentially the position the NRA itself touts today - the "law abiding" serfs bowing to the whims of government..... Just like Hillary spouts.
Why can't people see it when the NRA offers it's "nuance" but they can when Hillary spits the same bovine excrement a bit more bluntly.
The Heller- speak she spews is almost comical after her and her hubby implanted outright BANS. ANYONE ANYTIME ANYWHERE is such idiocy. For even Threepers do not take that position. Nice straw man, Hillary! Example - I am as pro constitution as it gets yet I understand that the Second is not "unlimited". We all have the unfettered right to own, that means buy and sell and transfer as we see fit. Likewise we have the unfettered right to carry and use in self defense YET both of these rights stop where the rights of another begin. For instance, as I cannot enter the property belonging to another to pray against their wishes, I cannot carry firearms there either. In other words, my right to carry is indeed limited to my own property and that which is public right of way. Also, I cannot use firearms to steal that which belongs to another - ie robbery rape murder.
It's not governments place, it is not within its purview, to decide on a case by case basis whether a particular right is really worth insisting upon. In FACT, when adhered to, the boundaries set forth by our Constitution handle "time place manner" themselves - totally absent legislative creation.
It's time to stand up to those who seek to continue to bastardize the clear boundaries that rights enumerated themselves recognize. Whether it's Hillary saying it one way, or the NRA saying it another way, it is our DUTY to call bullshit what it is. Bullshit.
"Clinton said she is still unsure of whether or not she will run in 2016, but encouraged Americans to 'stay tuned.'"
Really? What the hell is she unsure of, whether or not the whole Lewinsky parade will garner a strong sympathy vote?
On another note, "Why can't people see it when the NRA offers it's "nuance" but they can when Hillary spits the same bovine excrement a bit more bluntly."
I would say it has to do with many people still being disengaged with the political discussion, yet being willing to blindly accept the NRA's "willingness to fight for your 2nd Amendment rights!" It comes down to misplaced trust. Everyone gets it wrong sometimes, and the NRA is no exception. They seem more concerned with playing nice than protecting rights these days, and not all gun owners realize yet that we are in fact on our own.

The ruling class does not like armed peasants. No surprises there...
Uh, "they" don't want guns ANYWHERE, except for them, of course.
"Fully validated?" They already are, missus. By the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
I swear, these people want to be God. Maybe they already think they are.
Egads, look at CNN try to ride to Hillary's rescue and attempt to spin her way out of it.

What is it with these people ? 2A states plainly "Shall not be infringed". This bitch along with many others act as though 2A does not even exist.
The answer is a short rope and a tall tree.
Let that skank bitch keep talking about getting rid of guns. It's a loser issue.
If you're going to give a collectivist a nightmare, you might as well get your money's worth.
