Lickspittles to the Rescue! Charlie Savage lies again.

Charlie Savage of the New York Times practicing his lickspittle wiles on an appreciative Eric Holder. Charlie Savage of the New York Times, one of this administration's most faithful "journalist" defenders, has written another story: "Holder, Grilled on Gun Inquiry, Says He Won’t Resign." It is all about the calm, forebearing, even saintly Eric Holder, forced to suffer the slings and arrows of those evil, wascally Wepublicans. It is the same sort of fare that we have come to expect from the Grey Lady's most reliable lickspittle. But Mr. Savage, in his zeal to portray Darrell Issa as the latter-day Joe McCarthy, convicted by the stout-hearted Holder's rebuttal, manages to tell a lie. Not a half-truth, not a misinterpretation, not a misstatement, but a lie.
But Mr. Holder snapped near the very end, after Mr. Issa, who has been a leader of the Fast and Furious investigation, compared him to John Mitchell, the Nixon administration attorney general who went to prison for his role in the Watergate scandal. “The reference to John Mitchell — think about that,” he said. “At some point, as they said in the McCarthy hearings, have you no shame?” The comment was a paraphrase of a famous 1954 rebuke of Senator Joseph McCarthy, the Wisconsin Republican who rose to fame and power by accusing military and government officials of Communist sympathies, destroying careers and reputations. Mr. Issa did not respond.
The only problem with this is that Darrell Issa DID respond. And anybody who was paying attention in the room heard it and knew it. When Holder demanded of Issa, "Have you no shame?" Issa INSTANTLY shot back: "Have YOU no shame?" Now, Issa's words were -- for whatever reason -- barely picked up by the mike, but they certainly carried to everybody at the press table, where I was at. Savage's false account makes it seem like Darrell Issa was somehow silenced by the valiant Holder. That is a lie. It is, however, the standard of reportage we have come to expect from media lickspittles like Charlie Savage. Of course, the sad thing for Charlie is that there is now a new media to call out the lies of the dinosaur media. Poor Lyin' Charlie. Poor New York Times.

No,NOT "poor New York Times".
The NYT has had too many opportunitys to practice true journalism, to tell the truth and inform with facts.
But they have chosen to follow the voices of their Libturb masters to the exclusion of all else. I see the NYT as the little dog with its head in the Victrola cone.
The NYT deserves whatever happens to it.

Mike, you really do give the NYT too much respect when you call it 'the Grey Lady'. It hasn't been a lady since Walter Duranty shilled for Joseph Stalin. Some wags still call it the New Duranty Times. Maybe it's time to label it the New Savage Times.

Charlie Savage is another DOJ plant - claims the ATF were seeking to identify at a higher level - asked him on twitter to name ONE at the higher level over the 15 months of the operation. Fact is - they have now what they had at the beginning - people on welfare or felons paying with Sinaloa cash for guns that kill people to use that in their quest against Americans who don't kill people.
Still think Tracy Schmaler and Eric Schultz ought to be charged with obstruction of justice.

Mike, that 'omission' has been fixed by an update, according to the website.

I caught a LIE in the next paragraph, though. I don't know if you missed it or chose not to comment on it.

"Fast and Furious was a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives-led investigation from late 2009 to early 2011 into an Arizona-based gun-trafficking network. “Straw buyers” bought guns, which were smuggled to Mexican drug cartels. Agents, seeking to identify higher-level figures and build a more significant case, sometimes did not immediately move to arrest low-level suspects or seize the guns. "

There is no space to comment on the story, so I couldn't call him on it there, but we all know they NEVER moved to arrest the low level suspects or seize the guns. Until Brian Terry got shot, that is, and weren't three or the four arrested released within a day or so and sent back to Mexico?

They're dead, I'm sure, and likely have been since the got south of the border. Who said "Dead men tell no tales?" Those guys won't be around for court, I bet.

Oh, and what happened to the third gun?

The NY Obama Times will, as Frank Zappa put it in a song about Owl Gore's censorship efforts in the 1980's...

"bend up and sniff my anal vapors," as long as it is Team Obama.

If Obama and/or Holder comes to a quick stop, the NYT's head is in their upper colon.

"Charlie says me so sorrie." Does that mean he withdrew the column due to factual inaccuracies?

Mike - You forced the NYTimes to correct a story in record time! Are they going to come around? I doubt it.
