The lie before the crime. "Gemeinnutz geht vor Eigennutz" ("The community comes before the individual")

A great Christmas gift idea by Capitalist Pig Asset Management:
"Gemeinnutz geht vor Eigennutz" ("The community comes before the individual")
In the 12 years between 1933 and 1945, the Nazis massacred over 20 million people. Fueling their murderous evil was the philosophy of collectivism, so integral to Nazi society that it was inscribed around the edge of every Nazi Reichsmark coin.
"Gemeinnutz geht vor Eigennutz" ("The community comes before the individual") concretizes the collectivist belief that individuals have no rights and that "the greater good" is the only standard of value. Under such a system, man is not an end to himself, only a tool to be sacrificed for the Führer, autocrat or ruling mob.
Only capitalism regards man as a sovereign individual with an inalienable right to his own life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. Government recognition and protection of individual rights is the hallmark of a moral, peaceful, productive society.
Shipped with excerpts from Leonard Peikoff's The Ominous Parallels, each authentic Reichsmark coin contains 5 grams of silver and serves as a foreboding reminder of the dangerous evil of sacrifice for "the public good." $24.99
These innocents sacrificed "for the public good."

Actually, Mike, unless it's FREE MARKET capitalism, as defined by the likes of von Mises or Milton Friedman, it can be "crony capitalism," as bad as socialism or fascism.

You know the story about that OWSer bitch who placed her toddler on a train track to 'stop the trains' at their protest last week?
One of the people who wrote a comment about the story, praised her for her willingness to sacrifice her own daughter for 'the cause' and he stated it in almost the same words as inscribed on the coin.
To me, this is quite evidential of humans becoming demon possessed. Hitchens notwithstanding.

Einstein: German translation is not quite "richtig..."

"General Needs before Individual Needs" Idiomatically, yours is close enough....

It is possible to translate this in a number of meanings, but we all know what Schickelgureber meant!

I've got my coin and have given several out to those who think it's O.K. for the state to take care of them. Unfortunately, as long as they keep getting "free" stuff, they seem to keep the message on the back burner, preferring, instead, to keep their arms extended, palm up.

People don't need the devil to make them do bad things.
Good people do good things. Bad people do bad things.
But under the right circumstances, good people will do bad things.
