Backlicking that spittle. Charlie Savage of the NYT, caught by Sipsey Street, has to backpeddle on all that lickspittling.

You know, there is an exit off the freeway headed north to Mordor-on-the-Potomac just before you cross out of Virginia. It is called Backlick Road. Now, I'm starting to wonder if that's where the Times sends its DC lickspittles when they screw up. Holder, Grilled on Gun Inquiry, Says He Won’t Resign. Attached to this article now is the following disclaimer:
This article has been revised to reflect the following correction: Correction: December 10, 2011 An article on Friday about a hearing in which members of Congress sparred with Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. over a disputed gun-trafficking investigation described incorrectly one of his exchanges with Representative Darrell Issa, a Republican of California. At one point during the Thursday hearing Mr. Holder rebuked Mr. Issa, using the McCarthy-era phrase “Have you no shame?” Mr. Issa responded by repeating the phrase back to Mr. Holder. It is not the case that Mr. Issa did not respond.
A reader emails me that my illustration from the post calling Savage a lickspittle was sent to CNN:
Somebody took the liberty of tweeting the whole site to CNN Out Front Piers Morgan and the (redacted) Anderson Cooper 360 during their show.... with some pertinent comments ...... R O F L M A O they turned green, thought they were going to puke on camera .. [8^))
Oh, well, we are everywhere.

Piers Morgan - now there's a douchebag. Jeremy Clarkson of 'Top Gear' had to punch Piers in the mouth once for spreading BS.
Nothing more annoying than a Brit swimming across "the pond" to offer his two cents on American politics.

I may be slow, but it just occurred to me why no one has been, or will be, fired - at least not without a hefty, silent payoff.

Methinks that everyone knows "something" - some more than others. So if Holder made "heads roll," the fallout could be quite ugly.

Assuming everyone knows something, it shouldn't be too difficult to find at least a few honest whistleblowers and put the pieces together.

I'm thinking Issa and Grassley (and you and David and others) have a whole lot more info waiting for the right time to come out.

Holder is going down and everyone knows it including Holder. I bet he is packing right now. Hope he ends up where he gets free room, board and clothing.

Mike,Congratulations!many of us have been sitting out here in the hinterlands, loving every minute of this as it unfolds. For three years now the people of this country, have been, lied to,deliberately misled openly mocked and just plain despised by this administration. However I doubt Comrade Obama will shit can Holder. These people being legends in their own minds are never wrong about anything. And with the whore media covering for them it will be hard to call any of them to account for their dirty deeds. That the highest lawman in the land would be involved in some nitwit scheme like this goes beyond the pale.It would be pointless to explain to these smug arrogant assholes that the only reason they havent been tared and feathered and rode out of town on a rail ,is that the good people of this country will abide by the laws of the Constitution that they themselves so despise.Next November be sure to flush twice as some of these turds have a long trip home!

You are mistaken if you think Holder will go willingly. This is Chicago politics all the way. Think - state governors Blagojevich, Ryan, Walker and Kerner ALL went to jail on corruption charges. Nothing gets done in Chicago based on principle; its all about what's in it for the politician - money or votes so they can get money. You think a US attorney (who serves at the pleasure of the President btw) is going to indict? Think again guys. Holder knows the numbers - the House can impeach him, but it takes 2/3rds of the Senate to convict. That's not going to happen folks. Contempt of Congress? Again, takes a US Attorney, a Grand Jury and so on. Not. Going. To. Happen. Not while Hussein is in office. I wish it were otherwise, but that is not reality. Holder will let us confront him with his lies, malfeasance and crimes all day long. There is no reason for him to give up his paycheck. And Hussein will pardon him before he leaves office (God willing in 2013) if he hangs in there. I'm not saying don't beat him like a drum every day of the week and twice on Sundays. He's a thug sure as God made little green apples. Just get your expectations adjusted to what kind of battle we are fighting. An honorable man would have put a bullet in his head over this already. Holder has no honor. None.

The only reason elected criminals like this aren't tarred, feathered and ridden out of town on rails like the old days is because they are too hard to get reach. And that is exactly why they are hard to get reach. They aren't surrounded night and day by armed guards because they do the will of the People.

But it looks like more than Holder just got tarred and spittled by Mr. V and a willing Lilliputian.

Interesting how the Left works - Savage downplays the walking to "hundreds" while the Rep in the hearing (Berman?) claimed thousands of guns per DAY were crossing into Mexico. The truth somehow avoids their attention.

When Holder was lying on the stand about Gary Grindler, and was called on it, Rep Jackson jumped in to completely void the moment. That testimony alone could be grounds for impeachment. I favor one felony count on Holder - Lying to Congress - and then provide a video clip and a transcript of his answers to questions in each of the four hearings. Perhaps the fifth hearing should be a coordinated review by the Republicans of each and every false answer or non-answer that he has given. In advance, they should let him know all the answers he has promised to give. As for the others, besides lying to Congress, you have involuntary manslaughter, arming the cartel, conspiracy, misprision of a felony, wire fraud, mail fraud, and perhaps some others we can think of, like obstruction of justice for Tracy Schmaler and Weich, who must have planted the "Have you no shame?" thought in the hare-brained mind of the felonious AG.

Just the simple fact that all the outrage is confined to the Republicans tells you how much trouble we are in today.

Actually the last exit on I-495 (the Beltway) in Virginia before crossing into Maryland over the American Legion Bridge is exit 43 to the George Washington Parkway. Until National Park carry passed this actually meant exiting earlier at route 193 Georgetown Pike.

I hope Holder doesn't resign. Let him be the ball and chain that drags Obama out of office.
