MIAMI — Senior Obama administration officials are meeting with South Florida Hispanic leaders in an effort to boost outreach to the nation's Latino community.
Friday's conference at Miami Dade College is part of a series of summits held across the country since July. The White House is also using the event to promote a pilot program to expand employment opportunities for Hispanics and companies that hire them.
Among the officials attending the invitation-only event are the president's top aide on Western Hemisphere Affairs Dan Restrepo and Esther Olavarria, a senior counsel at the Department of Homeland Security.
The meeting comes as the president seeks to woo Latino voters ahead of the 2012 election. They face the nation's highest unemployment rates. And many are frustrated with the lack of progress on immigration reform.
The ORIGINAL gathering place for a merry band of Three Percenters. (As denounced by Bill Clinton on CNN!)

"Invitation Only." Of course. Wouldn't want anybody asking Restrepo an inconvenient Gunwalker question, now would they?

Dan Restrepo - Isn't he the guy that Newell talked to about Gunwalker - thought it was a great idea - and sold it to the Obamanation? Or did it come from Newell's friend, Kevin O'Reilly who worked for Restrepo in the White House. Great program - flood guns to Sinaloas so they can kill the Zetas and when they decimate one another, Mexican government can wipe 'em both out. Except the Sinaloas turned their guns on the Mexican government, who didn't know why they were getting outgunned by the cartel. To the rescue - the ATF trace team to identify the weapons used by the Sinaloas and whoopee! They are out of the Fast and Furious op in Phoenix. Sorry we couldn't tell you - too many leaks in your gubmint. But we can claim success, cause you now have 2500 guns (minus the 600 we recovered for you) from America, and that will help us get rid of the 2nd Amendment! Oooooops. Collateral damage in Rico Valley. Well - we can always call it "an ATF botched tracing sting that went awry" - MSM is on our side and they are too stupid not to fall for that. We can have Burke tell them he is "sorry bout that" and resign and get on with our next op.
Meanwhile, as 45 million Americans are on food stamps, Restrepo can help the Latinos in South Florida with a new jobs program - hire an unemployed Latino and get a Volt from Government Motors. We'll ship the Volts to Mexico and the Sinaloas will steal them and ...
