For Firefox, better privacy and ghostery add ons can be set for them, looks like this is the best though. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-uS/firefox/addon/betterprivacy/?src=cb-dl-mostpopular https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ghostery/
Better Privacy runs quite smoothly on Windows XP with Firefox. When you shut the browser down it asks if you want the cookies deleted. A no brainer, must-have app.
My word, Mike. I'm running an older XP machine and the browser (Firefox) was clunky, buggy and would crash if the browser windows were left open for a few hours. It would take minutes to load new tabs and close the browser. I got rid of the flash cookies and my machine is running like brand new.

There is a FireFox add-in called BetterPrivacy. It allows you to handle these flash cookies for FireFox.

If you are on a Mac you can use a small app called Flysh, to get rid of Flash Cookies.
YMMV

Thanks. I just installed BetterPrivacy in Firefox 6.0.2 on a Linux box.
