Apropos of nothing in particular.

My favorite piece of jazz music, Benny Goodman and his orchestra at Carnegie Hall in 1938 playing "Sing! Sing! Sing!" I especially like Jess Stacy's piano improvisation.

Here's another version again with Gene Krupa on drums and a YOUNG Lionel Hampton:

Also love the much younger Teddy Wilson and Krupa is/was simply the best big band/jazz percussionist, evah! There may have been faster hands(See Rich, Buddy) but nobody could make better, more varied sounds on a drum solo that Mr. K!!!; September 4, 2011 at 1:17 PM

This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible.
