One would hope that the "potential" (an electrical pun - I slay me!) user would be able to distinguish between low voltage cables and the high voltage distribution lines.
1. How do you get the tap unattached? 2. Can it only be used on 240v and lower? (this seems to force you to be close to and end-user source, which = people) 3. How much weight can the kit's cable take?
Since this is only useful for the insulated line that runs from the transformer to the house, it looks almost useless. If you are that close to the house, why not just plug into the house?

My questions are....
1. How do you get the tap unattached?
2. Can it only be used on 240v and lower? (this seems to force you to be close to and end-user source, which = people)
3. How much weight can the kit's cable take?
But... The video says only "EXPERTS" can use it!!!!111!!ONE!!1!ELEVENTY!!1
Fairly simple concept, really - but...
Where are they deployed - away from the FOB for extended periods - where they're likely to find a working house-line to be able to use?
Personally, I don't like this development - as it appears to be designed for use here at home...

This could be usefull as long as the power stays on. watch out for neighborhood dogs and stray civilians.

Excellent observation.
And Anon ... that people thing. Can't imagine one of those Delta spooks carrying one of these around town.
Maybe Sudan? Somalia? Kenya? Nigeria?
AFGHANISTAN! Of course!
Well, there is ALWAYS WWIII.
i saw this approach years ago in mexico, the power source for a sidewalk fish taco stand. obviously not as high tech, but eminently useful
