Don't forget the ammunition folks - firearms are not worth spit if they don't have have that as well. Limiting / eliminating ammunition would be a brand new ball game.

If you reload, components would also be a worthwhile investment.

That's why I took up reloading a couple of years ago, and just got started in bullet casting. Still need to lay in more powder and primers, but brass can be reused a good long time and lead ingots can be cast into whatever bullet you need at the moment.

I have varying amounts of commercial and military-surplus ammo on hand, but I'd like to get to where they're the emergency supplies and reloads are the everyday-use stuff. (I might already be there with .30-06 as I've not shot surplus ammo in a while.)
