The ORIGINAL gathering place for a merry band of Three Percenters. (As denounced by Bill Clinton on CNN!)
For heaven’s sake, David, you don’t need to be so puckered. Smile a little. Be an advocate for others to enjoy the same passion you’ve been able to have your whole life. Don’t be jealous and petty and selfish.
He sounds like one of those guys that show up at the sporting clays course I visit, with their own ATV, a $4000 over/under, and all the fancy clothes ; then this old woman out-shoots them with a 1980's era Winchester 1300 pump action, in a pair of bib overalls...it ain't what you shoot, but the way that you shoot it..
308? Why,that is what those snipers use sometimes. No one need a round that powerful. Especially if they own one of those high powered sniper rifles, you know, with that scope that can kill someone a mile away. After we ban those deadly semi automatic weapons, we need to ban those high powered sniper rifles like those Remington 700. Then we can ban all the rest of those deadly .22s. You know they kill the most people. >sarcasm< NOG Fudds need to learn, step by step gun control= NO guns.
Marketing. They have had a rough ride the last few FUDD years. They will either get on the bus or be left standing at the depo with their D--k in their hand.
Anon 7:48 has a point, there is a certain strain of disdain for wide availability of firearms that seems related to a desire to avoid being revealed as inferior in actual skill. Indeed, it might be considered the binding thread of the "only ones" mentality and every other kind of tyranny, making sure the rules prevent anyone else from playing so you can look like you deserve your 'elite' status. This is the essential distinction between real meritocracy and elitism, that desire for a bar to entry set high enough to ensure that most people are never allowed to enter the game. It only serves those who don't deserve to be winning.
"it ain't what you shoot, but the way that you shoot it."At one Appleseed a man qualified for his Rifleman patch with a bolt action mil-surp Enfield. If you haven't been to an Appleseed (why the f**k haven't you?) you have no idea how tough that would be to do. But he did it and showed up a bunch of people who came with "much better" gear.
Anon 7:28am - That's the guy i want to be next to if ever in battle, not some youngster with a tricked out, high dollar AR that hits Maggie's drawers instead of the intended target..Anon 7:48am
The best rifle in combat is the one you have in your hands. it don't matter how fancy or decked out or "tacticoolish" it is. if you can't take down the target with a single well placed shot when it matters, "what difference does it make?"Try this on for size, being WELL PRACTICED and able to kill at the longest range you can is better than spraying 20-30 rounds up close and personal and still not hit anything but look cool doing it. I want the guy with the bolt action who is deadly to the ENEMY, rather than the one who will get me killed because all he does it eat up ammo. If you kill 100% of his targets at 100+ meters with a beat up veteran Mosin Nagant or Mauser and your other patriot "battle buddy" has a $3000 ar-15 style and don't kill shit, I want the bolt action guy any day.Sign Me, Neal Jensen
