Herschel Smith provides a "Malheur Update."

“Do what we say, and shut up,” said the fedgov. Good Lord! How do these people sleep at night.

"Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters."

In the end, there can be no compromise between those who would be masters and those who would be free.

I was under the distinct impression the events at Malheur were declared an unsanctioned (and therefore) 3'per / OK'er non-issue. Didn't anyone pass that along to Herschel?

Like babies, Mike. You can bet on it. More's the pity.

Waiting for the first payout from the One Hundred Heads Co. And the second and third and others, of course.
For every action there is a reaction.
Let it begin.

I guess these guys didn't get the memo:

"Listen up--Blacks, Whites, Latinos, and everybody else. Most police shootings can be avoided. It comes down to respect for authority and obedience. If a police officer tells you to stop, you stop. If a police officer tells you to put your hands in the air, you put your hands in the air. If a police officer tells you to lay down face first with your hands behind your back, you lay down face first with your hands behind your back. It’s as simple as that. Even if you think the police officer is wrong—YOU OBEY. Parents, teach your children to respect and obey those in authority. Mr. President, this is a message our nation needs to hear, and they need to hear it from you. Some of the unnecessary shootings we have seen recently might have been avoided. The Bible says to submit to your leaders and those in authority “because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account.”" - Franklin Graham

That's a fine message for those who've never tried obedience to the law.

But it is less relevant for those of us that have obeyed the law all our lives only to find that it is currently being perversely administered and enforced by criminals.

If a policeman tells you to put your knee pads on and take it.....

Nothing like a religious nut telling me how to OBEY

The ugly naked face of the REALITY in America. Tyranny wears a veil, god help you if you lift it up and see the real face.....for most it is easier to be a true believer and DENY that ugly truth. It saves them from having to be act or plan on being responsible AT ALL for anything. Personal responsibility is the bedrock of LIBERTY and Freedom, but I also realize that will escape the notice of 99.999% of the readers.
