...and unless he's changed positions on it, he supports "Common Core", the socialist, total takeover of local schools by the federal government. It's perhaps the top reason why I home-school my boys.
Have you briefly summarized your position that the election 2016 will be superseded by civil war, somewhere? I know you've good reasons to back such an assertion. Will be going to press 3%er here with the story
"If former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is going to run for president in 2016, his campaign is going to have to run through the Forza coffee shop in Parkland, Wash. That’s where one of Huckabee’s many parolees, Maurice Clemmons, assassinated four Lakewood police officers in 2009, depriving nine children of a parent and setting a national perception that Huckabee abused his powers of clemency.....
To play Devil's Advocate: State power is a tool which can be used for good purposes or ill, like any other tool. Human beings create governments to act for them and serve their interests, and that was going on long before Marx was born. See also, the social contract. See also, Hobbes. See also, Locke.
Borders. Language. Culture. Blood and soil.
I want our borders guarded and patrolled--the Germans and the South Koreans and the Afghans can take care of their own borders, or not, but their borders aren't worth one more cent of American taxpayers' money nor one more drop of American blood to me. I want criminal foreigners kept out of my country. I want illegal aliens rounded up and shipped back whence they came, and I want it done in a manner calculated to deter would-be imitators. I want crooked businessmen who hire those wetbacks to go to prison. Is this "progressive?" I argue that it is the purpose of the government under the social contract.

"Huckabee is the rare populist who wants government heavily involved in both economic and social issues."
Isn't that the definition of a progressive?
