Kurt Hofmann on Bateman.

You think you're "really good at" violence, Bateman? Try enforcing the laws you want to inflict on the American people, and we'll soon find out if you're as good at taking it as you are at dishing it out.

Bateman is either an idiot, dangerous, or both. The Militia Act (Dick Act) which he references, says in Title 10, Subtitle A, Part I, Chapter 13, Section 31:
"(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are—
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia."

The National Guard does NOT eliminate the citizen Militia, as originally created in The Militia Acts of 1792, as amended in 1795 and 1862. See also: Perpich v. US which states that the Nat'l Guard is not the citizen militia but part of the Dept of the Army under the plenary control of Congress.

Resist the lies that underpin tyranny! Molon Labe!

I'm 62. Does that mean I cannot be part of the unorganized militia? Would that not provide an opening to disarm anyone 46 years of age and older? Amendment II would seem to be tied in some way to at least being ABLE to be a member of the unorganized militia. I could see them passing legislation to disarm anyone 46 years of age and older since they ostensibly are no longer qualified to serve in either militia.
