You know, I've been calling them the "Digital Stasi" for some time now. Glad to know the Chancellor of Germany agrees with me.

And she knows first-hand about Stasi: "Merkel compared NSA to Stasi in heated encounter with Obama."

Germany is a core member of NATO, yet this administration continues to anger them, refusing to guarantee that there will be no more spying. The arrogance of the NSA, supported by Obama, is breathtaking. The American people, via the MSM, do not know about world anger. Obama has increasingly alienated allies to the point that our foreign policy is a complete disaster. Secretary of State, John Kerry, is off sunning himself in the Mekong Delta, while our relations with Germany, further deteriorate. The government of Brazil is in a rage over spying and where was Obama? He was off paying homage to a dead commie and shaking hands with a live commie. Is this an accident? I believe it is the intentional destruction of both domestic and foreign policy. Putin's ribcage must be hurting, from laughing at this POS, president. We will not withstand 3 more years of this anti-American scum bag.

As Merkel was literally a DDR communist, its unclear whether she was being complimentary or critical :)

Chancellor Merkel lived through the STASI period in East Germany. Her father was a pastor who had attracted unfavorable attention from Nazis and commies because of his views. I can not blame the Chancellor for being enraged. As far as committee chairman Rodgers' comments about the NSA leaks "endangering US troops", that is a very serious charge that has not yet been proven. Malfeasance on the part of intelligence agencies has been proven.

As anybody who has Hitlers' old job should know, once someone has the capability to do something, they usually do it. And the more they're able to conceal it from view, the more likely they are to do it.
