Removing handles from water fountains? That's as petty as anything I heard from government so far. The best part is, we are seeing how low government will stoop and we aren't even in martial law. Can you imagine that? It will take decades, if ever, for the Park Service to regain it's reputation. Now, all they have to do is engage in some murders to fuel the envy of other agencies in the praetorian guard.
perhaps park users should begin carrying a small tool that will allow them to access the water supply their tax dollars maintain. Or, begin carrying their own water supplies. Either way, they should continue to access the parks and trails and resist, defy and smuggle what ever supplies they need for their recreational activities.
IF, the NPS were to make a show of force and station 'armed' officers at entry points ...simply go around them and show them the white banana in your hand. Wait for one of the bastards to put a bullet in someones back, let them raise the ante.
As for the federal "vandals" ...well, they should be arrested and prosecuted for vandalizing public property.
Obviously, not one Oathkeeper among them.

Armed National Guard Units To Block DC Truckers?

Sources within the Department of Transportation have revealed that their plan to use National Guard resources to close federally funded Interstate Route 495, circling the nation’s capital, have been approved by unknown White House officials and will be implemented on Friday morning, October 11, in order to thwart the three day Trucker slowdown announced on the Capitol Beltway starting that date, using the federal government shutdown as justification.
The National Guard resources to be used to thwart the truckers will include rifle toting National Guardsmen called up from units that will be coming in from Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia. They will use Guardsmen on foot and using trucks, jeeps and armored vehicles, which will be stationed at all entrance ramps to the Beltway to block incoming traffic starting early Friday morning.
I wonder how these willing collaborators are going to expect things to return to normal after these shenanigans. I believe that if I ever visit Yellowstone again I will be a rude asshole to every SOB that works there, and make it a point to let them know why.
