Reports from the Shutdown. Threepers "test the fences" -- and pick up some souvenirs.
Received this photo and accompanying report from a Threeper in Virginia:
It was glorious on Sunday as American citizens removed the barricades from the WWII Memorial. (They also removed them from the Lincoln Memorial.)
I removed two “closed” posters and two signs, including this one, which officially, and idiotically, closes the grass on the Mall. I brought two pairs of wire cutters in case the first one was confiscated. One should be prepared. J I was prepared to be arrested, but the police mostly gave the protesters a wide berth. This was wise, because (1) there were a lot of protesters, and (2) the protesters were in no mood to be jerked around.
The barricades and signs are back already. As you have an audience, consider calling for their repeated removal. And removal of all of Obama’s barricades and “closed” signage from all open air monuments and lands around the country. We must defy tyranny or we are lost.
Just some guy.
Also, we have this report from the Palmetto State:
Good idea you have about re-opening our National Parks and Forests.
The Sumter National Forest in Edgefield County South Carolina was opened for business yesterday. Except for momentary efforts on their part, it will remain open.
The signs are pretty cheesy. Basically a printed piece of paper in a document protector stapled to a pole.
The next set I’ll send to you!
I will be proud to frame it. We ARE Everywhere.

I need to get me one of those "Industrial Size" pipe cutters. Just clamp-on and start turning the cutter around the pipe while screwing in the handle. Chop those Barry-Cades in half (or smaller pieces) and they can't be re-used without being repaired.
