Anti-gun Senate bill apparently intended to close 'advertising loophole'

Perhaps more importantly, does any ostensibly "pro-gun" Senator seriously believe that with the "advertised gun loophole" closed, the gun prohibitionists will be in any way sated in their lust for more oppressive gun laws? Are we to believe that when this legislation inevitably fails to reduce violence at all, the forcible citizen disarmament lobby will not shriek that the reason for that failure is that it does not go far enough, and that only "universal background checks" will be enough? That they will not say, as this column does, that the distinction between advertised private sales and unadvertised ones is entirely arbitrary and artificial? No one believes that. And our so-called "allies" in the Senate want to preemptively surrender the beachhead from which the "universal background check" assault will be launched. There is a name for such people. There are also consequences.

What happened to the promised filibuster?

About a month ago, I attended a pro-2nd amendment rally near Erie, Pa. It was standing room only as the place was packed. Sen. Toomey was in Washington, but send a staffer to assure the crowd that he was staunchly pro-gun. I called his office today to remind his staffers of the rally and his later treason. Toomey is a ferret faced, lying, self-centered, POS! (Make that, piece of shit!) Although he is a newbie Senator, he is about as trustworthy as a McCain, or Lindsey Graham. Basically, a moss back. I believe he stood with the democrats to garner the "gimmee" crowd votes in Filthadelphia. It is a bad omen. Bad things are coming and they are coming fast and furious. Get ready!

So a Bill based upon 40% Lies and 60% Treachery is to be debated in the US Senate ... and we are in any way surprised!

Those that vote 'Aye' will be listed on the Bill - and thus can be held properly to account.

Dare they even go home?
