We need this in every state where our side has a say in the politics: Wyoming Threatens Arrests for Federal Gun Grabbers

Local radio station KTWO reports that lawmakers in Wyoming have proposed a "Firearms Protection Act" that provides a state-level annulment of any ban against semi-automatics or magazines that hold 20 or 30 rounds or more. If the measure passes, it would mean that anyone--even federal agents-who try to enforce a ban within the state borders could be charged with a felony.

To paraphrase Gandalf; The States are waking up, and realizing they are powerful.

Will they resist when threatened with having federal monies withheld? We shall see.

Mike,
Do you know any Alabama state reps or senators that are friendly to this cause that we can start talking and maybe get some pressure on to get the ball rolling on something similar? I know back in 2010 there was Firearms Freedom Act bill but I don't think it ever made it out of committee.

Anon at 12:26pm: Sure. Just refuse to assist in collection of federal income tax, and ask residents to kick in a little of that to help with the state upkeep.

Wyoming might have to tighten their belt a bit, but I doubt that would be a hard sell.

Wyoming is one of the largest sources of energy in the country, they do fairly well in keeping their coffers full. I think we can hold out on our own for a while. Besides that, those Fed convoys can be seen from a looong way off, lots of time to adjust sights!

This is like a page out of Kenneth Royce's (aka Boston T. Party) book, Molon Labe...and about right in terms of the time line too. Like an oracle!

Wow! I love it.

I'd recommend that everyone call their legislators and push for similar legislation.

If this fails, and if the bans pass, meet with your local sheriff and remind him of his oath to uphold the constitution, then ask him whether he will enforce the unconstitutional law or will protect his constituents from its enforcement.

We'll be on better tactical ground, and in the eyes of the rest of the world and society we will appear to be on better moral ground if we are working with lesser magistrates who are protecting our rights rather than going out on our lonesomes.

Not that the rest of the world will suddenly see the light on individual rights, but they will not be able to credibly make the excuse that we're a bunch of lone wolf anarchists.

We're badly in need of "Absolved" for some inspiration. In the meantime, here's another one that's darn good.

Neither Predator Nor Prey

In a time of great economic downturn, the US Senate, in thrall to an evil leftist president, ratifies the UN Global Gun Ban Treaty. Congress passes implementing legislation and an aggressive enforcement effort is launched.
There are those in Wyoming who decide not to comply with the new laws. The old ways suit them just fine, and they are willing to take whatever measures are necessary to preserve their traditional lifestyle. They have no intention of letting themselves become prey to the predatory treaty enforcers. This is their story.

They need to declare Wyoming CCW holders to be state militia, and issue them M-16 lowers and bolt carriers.
