"With Ammunition Scarce Can Reloading Supplies Be Next?"

By getting into reloading, you can control your own destiny with ammunition. Buy primers even if you don’t need them at the moment—the beauty is that they aren’t that expensive and you’ll see just how economical handloading can be.

Primers are scarce as hen's teeth now but I found 5K WSPs on Craigslist last week and snatched them up at 40/brick. Cabella's just sent me my second delay of backorder notice. So, don't forget to look at the alternative seller sites.

As we have seen first hand even components are getting scarce now.

What scares me most is there are only 3 primer manufacturers IIRC and they all have lucrative contracts with .gov and can thus be pressured into how their resources are allocated.

What we need are open-source instructions and the tools with which to make primers, brass and powder.

I don't know how.

Until I figure it out, I am planning on a long-bow and a sword.

Graf and sons have a small supply of small pistol, large pistol and large rifle, but they are expensive.

Be next? Primers, especially small rifle and small pistol are out. I was at graf's retail outlet Monday and the entire shelf sections was completely bare except for one box of shotgun primers and a partial of wolf small rifle magnum primers. BARE.

Some of the popular powders are out as well H335 and HP38 I can name off the top of my head.

All components are already scarce in central Ohio. Powder hasn't disappeared yet, but everything else has. Going to the Dayton gun show this weekend to see what's out there. Glad I stocked up before the craziness.

Give a talented person a M9 with half a mag and he'll capture the village with their weapons and all the ammo is free.--Anonymous amigo

Gun control measures have generated a good amount of debate and created a rush on gun stores around the country. Locally, the Gander Mountain parking lot was busy ...

Supplies are not "next". We are already there.. they are scarce..

As of two weeks ago Dillon was out of most .224 projectiles... only had psp's for $160 per 1000. very little brass left.

Sportsmans, Bass Pro and Cabella's (yes, they are ALL in town here :-) )all have bare shelves... limits on what does come off of the trucks and that's usually gone same day.

I learned my lesson in 08 and did my "shopping" before November.

Geeee, gunpowder is petroleum based and right after the election, oil prices go back up because our OPEC members are demanding it. A line of inquiry nobody wants to pursue but reports may indicate that some money was spent on our election by their members.

Wonder what would have happened if their selected recipients hadn't received their financial support and we had a new president and senate.....?

I'm pretty sure IMR 4064 wouldn't be $140.00.

I wonder if that means there are more players on the field than just the Marxists...?

Midawy is bought out, I'm having trouble finding parts for my new dillon press and it's getting worse.

Trust me they already have their sights set on reloading. The Small Arms Treaty has a provision that signees have to have all re-loaders listed as ammunition manufactures that are registered & inventoried.

Again if you haven't read the NRA's America Disarmed, do so. It lists the history of the Treaty & the anti-gun movement within the UN itself.

These seem like they're efficient! I'm thinking about getting one of these for my husband for his birthday. What are some things I should know when getting the right one for his gun? How do you find out if it will fit his gun?
