Sipsey Street Exclusive: Thomas Nee, key member of Joe Biden's "gun violence commission," has a son who was convicted of plotting a Columbine-style mass murder at a school -- possibly with a service weapon obtained from his father.

(AP Photo/Carolyn Kaster) "Vice President Joe Biden, right, with President of the National Association of Police Organizations and Boston police officer, Thomas Nee, center and Attorney General Eric Holder, far left, speaks to media during a meeting at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in the White House complex, Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, in Washington. Biden is leading a task force that will look at ways of reducing gun violence."
Sipsey Street has learned that a key member of the President's committee to find "the solution" to school shootings, has a son who was convicted of plotting a Columbine-style school massacre -- possibly with a service pistol obtained from his father. Nee is the former head of the Boston Police Patrolman's Association and is currently the head of the National Association of Police Organizations. In short, says one source familiar with the notoriously anti-firearm Nee, "he is a political hack/thug/activist who happens to carry a badge."
Sources point out that not mentioned in state-run media accounts of the Biden comission is that Thomas Nee's son was arrested and convicted for plotting a Columbine-style attack on Marshfield High School in Massachusetts. Additionally, says one source, "Joseph Nee might have armed himself at one point with his father's service pistol though that story went off the radar."
This source continued, "As usual, the 'solution' will be the attempted theft of freedoms from the innocent while the root causes of these evil shootings, especially dysfunctional parents will be ignored."
There are a ton of links out there re this story, here are a few.
Boston police eye alleged Marshfield plot suspect: Will investigate report that youth had service gun
Boston Police plan to contact authorities investigating the alleged Columbine-style attack plot at Marshfield High School to determine if a gun that one suspect allegedly showed to another student was a .40-caliber handgun issued by Boston Police.
A female student told Marshfield Police that Joseph T. Nee, one of the two suspects in the case, pulled what she thought was a black, .40-caliber handgun from his waistband as she was getting off a school bus this past spring and told her "how the school was going to be shot up," John P. McLaughlin, an assistant Plymouth district attorney, said at Nee's arraignment Monday.
Nee is the son of Thomas J. Nee, president of the Boston Police Patrolmen's Association, the city's largest police union. Boston police officers carry .40-caliber Glock handguns, according to a department spokeswoman.
Joseph Nee, seen in 2004, convicted of masterminding a Columbine-style mass murder plot.
Joseph Nee convicted; is dad part of the story?
The Associated Press thinks so. The Boston Globe doesn't. A bit of background: Joseph Nee was just convicted of conspiracy to commit murder for plotting a Columbine-style attack at Marshfield High School. Tom Nee, Joseph Nee's father, is the head of the Boston Police Patrolmen's Association.
You could make a reasonable case for either position. Tom Nee is a public figure, but the crime is his son's, not his.
That said, the Globe's current approach is especially interesting in light of this October 2004 article, which posited a strong link between Joseph Nee's legal troubles and his relationship with his father.
From COMMONWEALTH vs. JOSEPH NEE.
"In this case, the Commonwealth presented sufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant entered an agreement with Kerns with the intention to commit mass murder. See Commonwealth v. Frazier, supra. Multiple witnesses testified that the defendant either initiated or assisted in the development of an elaborate plan to "shoot up" the school. There was substantial evidence that the defendant prepared to carry out the attack by learning about and experimenting with explosive devices, and attempting to acquire firearms. Moreover, the defendant attempted to recruit Courchene and others to participate in the attack and threatened to cut out the tongue of anyone who spoke about the plan to the police. From this and other evidence, the judge could properly find that the defendant in fact reached an agreement with his friends to kill people at the school. See Commonwealth v. Benson, supra."

Well, I guess they were looking for "experts" in mass murder plots and found one close to home, although the Obama administration seems loathe to point that out.

This one reminds me of when former Seattle police chief and current drug czar, Gil Kerlikowske "lost" his service pistol. Actually, he left the gun in an unlocked car and it was stolen....but not to worry, he did not violate any department protocols.

Piers Morgan is going get right on this one.........

Didn't the brother of the Governor of Oklahoma write a book about bombing a government building in OKC before the bombing in OKC?

Great, just the type of pople you want making recomendations on gun laws. A bigger collection of thugs, collectivists and Nazis can only be found in congress.

Amazing! This will deliver a major PR blow to the commission. Everyone should send this to everyone they know to make it go viral. Everyone send it to Drudge, Lew Rockwell, and the usual pro gun crowd with large audiences.

BTW, here is an excellent youtube video from a Kiwi about why Feinstein's attempt is wrong, and how it will have unintended consequences with major non compliance and outright violence from the people if it does take place. Excellent, excellent video for anyone who has the time to watch it.

I think Howie Carr can help with this Nee situation. He knows all the hacks in Ma. He worked with Michael Patrick Leahy for Brietbart during the Elizabeth Warren Phoney princess Liawatha incident.

Per "The Lost Boys" article Nee's partner Kerns 'has taken “mood-stabilizer” medication for years', I wonder if Nee was taking any? It is starting to look like these types of medications are involved in mass shootings (either taking at time of shooting or were just before).

We need to send this to everyone we can to make this go viral.

AMERICAN GUN CULTURE
The gun debate in America is not fading yet. Those wishing away constitutionally ingrained right of the people will soon come into realisation that social transformation is gradual and sometime span over lifetime. Those opposed on the other hand shall foreverever suffer guilt of conscience whenever US witness another ugly gun related masacre of an innocent and totally undeserving. Either way gun control is both a necessary evil and a logical conclusion of greater legal implication.
Professionally iam a teacher of long serving experiemce. When students in a school i had taught for over 10yrs
developed too much faith in me i transferred. When this happened in the next school i opted out for a totally different carreer and though belatedly in life,i am in mid training.
My experience however may infuse some sobriety into the gun debate. I intend to highlight the role of education in social anarchy epitomised in violence
(1). Learners enter schools with already formed mindset which is informed by experiences in their formative years. All children get the best from their families and expect the same in school. Unfortunately, class situations run in the contrary with many new rules intrduced in rapid succession. This sudden change of the environment is the greatest setback in childs socialisation and the first stage where a kid develop doubts over sorrounding
(2). Its extremely hard to totally change the learners attitude and absolutely replace it but they may fake their personality for purpose of conformity to expectation. The growing child adopt a new personality little or nolonger known to the parent. The kid hold it in
(3). Once student trust the teacher they are open to fear, procrastination and indoctrination. They lose ability in critical thinking and judgement. Most do not recover and ever remain dependent on external locus of control. The realisation which comein late adolescence and early adulthood is explosive and decastating when it occurs
(4). Once out of school the pupils feel cheated and venture out for revege for lost opportunities which come with interferences by the teacher upon the child convictions prior to schooling
(5). Most of what is our syllabus is irrelevant to comtemplory realities and future prospects surrounding the benefactors of an educatipn system in a capitalic political arrangement. Much emphasy is optimistic while life realities are generally pessimistic whatever the socisl standing. Education profess hedonism rather than glorifying its central role to create a suffering producer
How then does education relate to the current discourse?
(a)our children are introduced to violence very early in life. Tv,movies, video games, family feuds are experiences to any newborn in the 21century. The sudden change between preschool and early schoo/frst day classl conditions traumatise people rest of life
(b)with parents tied at work parenting is through mass media. The glorification of war, occupations, killing of terrorist by recent administrations fortify the deep believe in violence
(C)military incursions, returning dead personnel from warfront, use and display of military hardware such as drones on innocent people negates human life. This also reinforces our unnecessary urge to self defense and prompt action at the slightest provocation whether real or imaginary
(D)Realisation education doesn't guarantee happiness or riches contrary to what parents parrots. This has a loathing effect that force one to doubt all including suspicion on your reasons for "unarming the public"
(E)American are introduced to the constitutiom and money again in early childhood. To many obssession with human rights and matters of democratic freedoms supercede any other belief apart from money. Patriotism is expression of those three and death isnt a big issue where any of these three is threatened

As long as there shall be the money, constitutional human rights and freedom there shall forever be guns, violence and death

Ben Swann completely destroys Piers Morgan with a Reality Check segment giving the true facts on the gun issue. I love it!
