Thanks for the information. One of these places just opened not far from me. Been thinking about trying it. Guess that won't happen
now. Don't shop at anti-military Target or other stores that are owned by the corporation that owns them.

Considering the quality of their food, that won't be a problem.

I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
Thanks for the heads up.

Hooters has better wings anyway.

Yeah, let's advertise that we are a victim disarmament zone.

Wonder if they'll re-think their policy when a shooter kills a dozen of their customers and the families sue the company for a few $million each?

Never saw the attraction for chicken wings anyhow.
Where I grew up they were soup stock or pigfeed, not haute cuisine.

I know the manager of one of the local stores personally -- he's a member of the same range that I belong to. He says that since the company adopted the policy their business was down almost 25%.

After shooting some of us would usually stop in and have some wings while we bragged about the great shots we almost made. He says he hasn't seen anyone from the range since corporate insisted on enforcing the rule chain wide.

The Law of Unintended Consequences can indeed be a real bitch...

My BBQ sauce is better (and hotter!) than theirs anyhow.

I went to their "contact us" and told them they wouldn't get my business!

Pretty much every sit down (non-fast food) restaurant in AZ has signs like this:

You can't swing a dead cat without hitting one.

All well and dandy to put a sign up on your front door. Too bad the fact of the matter is my State's Concealed Carry Laws allow me to carry my gun where ever I want as long as the State Laws don't prohibit me from doing so. I ignore those stupid signs all the time, in fact nearly every day. That's because they don't mean squat. Unless the sign says 51%, or it is a Hospital, Church, School or other legally banned location, you can stick your sign where the sun don't shine.

But yeah BWW can suck it for their pathetic efforts. No more money from me or mine.

I've seen the same sign on the door at their venue in Brainerd. Though if you want to get picky, the clear background sign isnt a legal format. Though they have but to ask you to leave. I'm just fine with going to a friendlier place.

No we should exactly the opposite: we should stage a gun-owners eat in!! all of us show up and order and then at a key moment sound some sort of call and then present arms on the table;if we are asked to leave by the manager then we should ask if he would like us to pay for the meal. i think his answer would be "of course" and then we should say we and our guns are staying; then order desert!! if the group is above 20 I think the message will be heard.

Who cares about a damned sign prohibiting guns in a business? The only places I don't carry are places where I know I'll be either patted down or required to go through a metal detector. I walk right past such signs with a concealed loaded gun and a loaded spare magazine on me. No business has the right to prevent me from carrying the means of self defense, even if state law says they do. Why, I've even informed Post Office employees that I'm carrying and that I will be every time they see me in their post office. They just said they don't care. I told them that if someone goes "postal" while I'm there they might be lucky enough for me to save some lives. They basically agreed with me. I know that wouldn't work everywhere but it does in my home town.

In Minnesota, if you ignore the sign and they see you are carrying, they can ask you to leave. If you refuse, the police can be called, and if you refuse them, you can be ticketed for tresspassing. Fine is no more than $25.00, and it doesnt effect your permit.
I tend to also ignore some signs if needs be. Though I tend to vote with my wallet. It isnt worth the grief since it looks like it's a corporate policy, and not the manager's call.

"Pretty much every sit down (non-fast food) restaurant in AZ has signs like this:"

I can't let that pass. I live in southern Arizona, the commie capital county of Pima, and have traveled the state. There are few restaurants I have encountered, including those that sell alcohol, that are posted no firearms. The posting at those paces that serve alcohol must have the posting adjacent to their license and we are allowed to enter and verify if they are present as required by law. As long as they are not posted and I don't consume alcohol I'm good to go. (I don't consume alcohol in any event. Anyone who does and carries a firearm is a fool.) I have no idea where you have been hiding but open and concealed carry is, thankfully, rampant here and more businesses are open for acess than ever before. Just my two cents.

Okay, here's a list from off the top of my head of sit down restaurants in AZ where they have the signs:

Grimaldi's, Red Robin, Abeulo's, Pei Wei, PF Changs, Native New Yorker, Streets of New York, Buca De Beppo, San Tan Brewery, Outback, Olive Garden, Carraba's, Nando's, Cheese Cake Factory, My Big Fat Greek Restaurant, Applebees, Red Lobster, Chili's, Texas Roadhouse, Macaroni Grill, On The Border, BJ's, RT O'Sullivan's, etc.

Most of these are in Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert.

Either you aren't very observant, or you only eat at fast food restaurants.

Man, that sux. I'm a plum fool for chicken wings. 'Guess I'll have to go to the locally owned (and gun friendly) joint instead.

I sent them a missive as well...I suspect this will not help their falling popularity anyhow...

Come on guys! Use your imagination. I have been making the managers and owners of these places lose thier minds for years. I walk in wearing my holster(no gun) just peeking out from under my shirt and make them look like assholes when they approach me. I have stepped it up a notch with these fuktards. I now go in with the holster and an unlit ciggarette hanging out of my mouth. They literally start vibrating. They are on me in a heartbeat telling me that there is no smoking and I explain to them that I don't smoke. These morons are easy to push thier buttons. Next up,carrying an empty scabbard into the shitholes. I have found a new mission in life. Tormenting liberal progressive assholes. try it! Knuck.
