The Charlie Savage headline below about the Democrats "absolving" themselves is priceless for its irony. Don't you have to have moral standing from God to give absolution? Sinners are not presumed to possess the ability to pardon themselves, right?

This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible. The Founders' Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost.
