Sing along with Mike to the tune of Camp Town Ladies: "Issa Writes A Nasty Letter, Ho Hum, Ho Hum. Threatens Holder with Contempt, Oh, Ho Hum Day." (Repeat until audience falls asleep.)

Talking Points Memo reports it thusly: "Issa Signals Contempt Proceedings Against Holder Over Fast And Furious." Daily Caller describes it as "Issa takes step toward holding Holder in contempt of Congress." The letter they refer to is here. Of course we've been here before. Somebody wake me up when they actually DO something about the links to DHS, FBI, and the White House.

THe most interesting thing I read in that letter was Issa's "request" for a specific person to face the contempt if/when noncompliance continues.

That does put Holder himself on the spot - as nobody in the department can make a call like that but him. Of course, it should be him, but well, we know what the game is.

Interesting as well was the Cummings ending. I understand the snark, but doesn't Issa realize that We out here in Citizenland are long past snark at this point?

I view Issa fold on the deadline a bit differently than before, understanding that this letter sent to him was a cagey dodge of it by Holder. In order to avoid that shady "tactic" in the future, he puts setting the date on Holder.

Sadly, what it all shows is that they really are playing a game - a deadly game for us, entertaining, I am sure, for them.

Apparently, Issa doesn't realize that he is being made a fool - and that is the very reason Holder held such a smirk at the last hearing. Holder is playing Issa like a fiddle. And The Silent Speaker is conducting his heart out.

nuloLike you, I want this thing to blow wide open and in the wake of it all, I want Janet, Joe, Hillary, Robert, Valerie and Bob and most of all Barack.

Did I read that right? Did Rep. Issa just ask Holder to "specify a date" that the DoJ will produce the documents?
How about "The second Tuesday of next week" or "The fifth of Never".

Well, it looks like the "I told you so" moment has arrived, and that everyone is realizing that we will get nothing in return for the fine investigative work that you and David have done since this whole thing started.

The fact that everyone involved in this cover-up is obviously guilty, and that the powers-that-be are also obviously tossing the biggest monkey-wrench possible into the gears of justice only goes to show that there is no hope left in this country for justice to prevail.

We're on our own, gentlemen! We can no longer hope for the law of the Constitution to govern our country. And at least we can be assured of one thing - these morons are very much scared of what is about to happen. So much so that martial law is probably only a few months away at most.
