Doctor's report.
Tweaked the medicines, and as an extra added bonus I may need my gall bladder out. . . or something more serious. We'll know when I go in Wednesday morning early for some tests. Oh, well. . .
Wouldn't worry about the "something else" too much considering the amount of blood work you've had recently.
As for the removal issue, it's almost an out patient sort of procedure now. My understanding is that you'll look like a balloon on the table but the pictures almost never make it to the INTERNET!
Gall bladder comes right out of a couple little 2" incisions. You will be finishing a chapter of Absolved on Morphine while they send you home ....buuuut it's only been 19 hours since I woke up from surgery.
Fingers crossed for it being just a few stones from not drinking enough water or getting enough exercise.
There is a way to clean out your gall bladder. It's kind of nasty tasting and you might puke, but it works. And you will be amazed at what you crap out.
If you want to go that route rather than taking out your gall bladder, let me know and I'll give you the recipe.
Got diagnosed with prostrate cancer 12 months ago. No big deal...YET. So began a hormone treatment and had positive results until my kidneys started leaking 4 months later. Now it becomes a big deal as I resemble the michelin man. Age 66. I sympathize with you mate. Age was something I was not prepared for but you stay well and keep up the fight. You have many loyal followers.
Mike, Gall bladder surgery is now done with two small incisions, fiber optic scope and remote tools. Recovery is much faster and a shorter hospital stay. Technology is doing some good things. Cheaper too. All is not bad. Prayers going out for you.
I've been following you for a while. My family is dealing with gastro issues - docs are very aggressive with meds. So here's the scoop on what I've found - bump up the vitamin D3 - have your level tested and if it's below 60, take some. My daughter is taking 50k per day right now. If you are on cortcosteroids, take the D3 sublingual. Also, gluten free - it's not too hard except for the junk food. We'll be praying for you - offering our day (the Catholic thing) to unite to all of your prayers so the docs and you find answers. BTW - look at life extension magazion on line - they have articles on new research - there's new research on diabetes which looks really promising.

Prayers up!
Best of luck with Wednesday - it sounds serious. I hope you stay well.

My thoughts are with you, Mike.
Just found out that my sister has an ovarian tumor (nature unknown, at the moment).
Wish your medical troubles and hers could be transferred to me (well, that wouldn't really work with an ovarian tumor, but you know what I mean).
Hang in there.

Prayers coming, Mike. I got rid of my danged gall bladder in 1993 and have never missed it. :)
The D3 supplement is a winner.
