A disarmed England grabs the next best thing: American baseball bats and self-defense batons.

Look at the percentage of increase of sales.

1. Always good to carry a cheap baseball in one's pocket, IF practical, to assure any pigs that one is headed to a game;
2.Framing hammer, ball-peen hammer, or very large box wrench, all available at hardware store, are all sufficient for multi-culti reorganization, as is a length of chain with a padlock at the end. Naturally, one mus practice with anything to perfect strikes and avoid self-injury.

Baton sales up 46,000% - LOL, poor chaps.

What the Brits need to do is pull back their snipers from Afghanistan and put them on rooftops with night vision scopes and orders to shoot looters and arsonists. Advertise this fact copiously. I predict one more night of violence, max. Half measures suck.

I keep an old short-handled army shovel (also Cold Steel's Special Forces shovel) in the back floorboards of my vehicles, near where the driver can reach it if needed. They can be sharpened quite nicely if you're so inclined.

A stiff leather belt with a big grommet in the tip beats the chain. Loop through buckle & lock padlock through grommet.

Place hand in loop, hold lock in hand.

First strike, throw lock into goblin's face like a baseball. Quickly choke up on belt & use it like a sap to finish goblin.

Repeat as necessary.

This rig goes with me everywhere, especially if I am forced to fly...

Golf clubs are a favorite around here, ostensibly to ward off dogs but a very good defensive weapon against thugs, too! And the newest thing is wasp spray - it shoots 15-20' and will definitely ruin your day if you catch it in the eyes and/or mouth.

I still like my XD40 with the Crimson Trace grips. Twelve plus one with an extra mag in my back pocket.

If circumstances compel you to leave your pistol behind in the car, a leather gunbelt with a heavy brass buckle makes a satisfactory weapon.

Wind several turns around your open hand. Close your fist. Allow 8-10 inches of belt, terminating with the buckle, to dangle freely. This makes for a quickly improvised impact weapon.

MALTHUS

The sound an improvised bludgeon makes when it impacts the skull of your assailant.

Why don't the citizens who are under siege from these thugs make some cocktails of their own? Unless they were seen throwing them at the packs of roving jackals, who could prove the idiots didn't set themselves on fire? Might be more effective than BB bats.

Mattexian: Speaking of the military shovel, sales of that item are now up 297,100%!! They must have read your post. LOL

Saw this on arfcom, from a poster in the UK/London area:

"Just spoke to my Dad... he's a 70 year old battle hardened inner city ex cop. He told me he's been waiting for this. ..... he reckons that the Citizens of this Country are on on the verge of significantly redressing the balance of power in the inner city in a matter fo days if the Govt don't get their act together."

Per the same poster, soccer clubs are taking to the streets in as "vigilantes"...

"Vigilantes and police are working together to disrupt rioters and Football Firms are joining forces and confronting these assholes head on."

Those rioters and looters probably don't understand that they are provoking a major backlash.

For old men like Mike and cripples like me, fhere's NOTHING BETTER THAN THIS: http://www.irishwalkingsticks.com/hametopcanes.aspx

Mine's solid chromed steel over fired-cured hickory - and has a perfectly hand-sized curve right at the perfect balance point.

It's a shillelagh my ancestors could only dream of owning, and though it ALWAYS raises eyebrows among tyrants (ESPECIALLY TSA MONKEYS) nobody's going to tell the cripple he can't have his cane...

Any of you young-bucks could always fake a limp...

We all are thinking the clubs and bats will be used in self defense... What If... its the rioters who are stocking up for future confrontations?

I see from the UK Amazon sales that even though the UK can't practice the first of the Three S's, it looks as if they're stocking up for the second S.

I wonder how many people wish the thugs in power had left the home made weapons site up?
This is a lesson, never let them take our gun rights.
If you can not defend yourself, you are not a citizen, you are a victim.
