Another fuzzy-thinking country heard from.

A Yankee blogger named Jim O'Leary had this to say yesterday at MindandDestiny. Since my name came up, I thought I would answer him briefly.

Protecting the People

In the on line version of the Oneonta Star, Robb wrote: “Who protects us from the Government? Oh yea, that is why we have the 2nd Amendment.” This appears to be a subtle suggestion of violence. (MBV emphasis supplied.)

Alabama militiaman and teabagger blogger Mike Vanderboegh called for his followers to smash Democratic offices. He was a featured speaker at a “Restore the Constitution Open-Carry Rally,” on April 19th at Fort Hunter National Park in Virginia. According to rally organizers, that park is the closest location to Washington, D.C. in which they can legally, and openly carry their firearms.

The date of the “show your guns” rally was on April 19th, is symbolic in its timing. April 19th, was the first day of the American Revolution, the Battle of Lexington and Concord, as well as, the day, home grown terrorist Timothy McVeigh chose for his bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. That blast claimed the lives of 168 victims and injured more than 680 innocent people.

The primary goal of those Tea Party Patriots was to intimidate the political process in this country, because they can’t get people to do what they want through the voting process, they’re using guns as a means of intimidating our national politics. The gun theme is becoming a consistent threat.

Tea party protest sign, at different events announced, that: “We came unarmed this time.” People showed up at political events last summer with guns strapped to their side. A man in New Hampshire showed up at an Obama event brandishing a .9 millimeter pistol and carrying a sign saying: “Replenishing the Tree of Liberty with blood.”

George Washington wrote: “The warmest friends and best supporters the Constitution has, do not contend that it is free from imperfections; but they found them unavoidable and are sensible, if evil is likely to arise there from, the remedy must come hereafter; for in the present moment, it is not to be obtained; as there is a Constitutional door open for it, I think the People (for it is with them to Judge) can as they will have the advantage of experience on their Side, decide with as much propriety on the alterations and amendments which are necessary as ourselves. I do not think we are more inspired, have more wisdom, or possess more virtue, than those who will come after us.”

Article I, Section 8 of our Constitution provides and extensive list of the powers of Congress. The list concludes with: “To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.”

Robb should try writing a thoughtful, persuasive letter to the editor instead suggesting violence, since the ballot has proven to be much more successful than the bullet.

Why there's nothing subtle about the doctrine of the Three Percent. When it was once demanded of me by an advocate of citizen disarmament to distill down my thoughts on firearm confiscation, I thought for a moment and said, "If you try to take our firearms we will kill you." The same goes for other basic, God-given liberties and natural rights.

Telling you that this is the logical consequence (albeit unintended on your part) of your seemingly voracious appetite for our liberty and property is simple good manners. You would perhaps prefer being shot WITHOUT warning?

You must be an historical amnesiac to believe that this country was founded and sustained by anything other than targeted violence against tyranny.

You feel threatened by rocks through the windows of local Democrat party headquarters? You ain't seen nothin' yet.

There is, of course, a simple solution. All we wish is to be left alone. Leave us the hell alone and nothing bad will happen. Try to use violence to work your will upon us, and violence is what you will reap.

This is a fact of human existence. It is perhaps time you recognized that. For your own peace of mind, if nothing else.

Indeed, Mike. It isn't just Man. Every creature has a way of signaling to an aggressor to "Stay away or I will defend myself and you probably won't like it." Even a rabbit will bare it's teeth and come at you if you corner the poor animal in a corner. And that is a FACT.

Conveniently omits Waco, also an April 19 event, on the 51st day of government agents circling their armored wagons around women and children and babies, blasting audio psychological torture over loudspeakers and finally injecting into the home and church a gas that is banned for use against the enemy in war.
"a .9 millimeter pistol." A sci-fi needle gun?
There's no use talking to people such as this. They are ignorant by choice, nasty by nature, and no matter how much logic and reason we pile up, they sidestep it.
I wonder how he feels about Rep. Rangel's Universal Servitude bill and whether he and people he cares about fall in the age bracket. Two years of your life, without so much as a by-your-leave. Maybe THAT'LL bring him around. If not now, maybe when there's a prez he DOESN'T agree with and he's assigned work he despises.

The "have a nice day" was a good touch.

Leave us alone.

Pretty simple, yet too much to ask.

It never ceases to amaze me how libtard after libtard will take the same old MSNBC/CNN talking point broadcast snipets and newspaper articles gone by, rearrange their order and think they have come up with some brilliant piece of informative literary genious.
Has this guy ever had an original thought in his life or does he sit on someone's shoulder eating crackers and sunflower seeds?

Oneonta NY....a two college, one horse town in the middle of nowhere, upstate New York....nobody cares what you or your paper think or write. You're about a month behind on the news of the day and the world is passing your sleepy little yuppie town by at break neck speed.

Its hard to view the world with any clarity or reality when your collective heads are stuffed up your ass.

What is a .9 millimeter pistol?? That's an very tiny caliber. I've never heard of that one before.

Extensive list? I don't know where the bozo comes off with that, but the constitution delegates limited powers to the federal government. But then again, this boy probably hasn't read the constitution. So Jimbo ... the foregoing powers which you speak of is listed in the very constitution that you speak of. And it appears pretty limited to me. Which begs the question Jimbo ... from which did the feds get all the other powers that it claims to have that ARE NOT enumerated and delegated in the constitution?

In fact Jimbo, I want you to tell us exactly where in the constitution the feds are delegated the power to restrict and regulate firearms ownership. Show us exactly where the feds have the power to arbitrarily take over State land for any other purpose other than that listed in Art. 1 Sec. 8?

I could ask you these questions all day Jimbo, but those 2 questions should be sufficient enough for now.

I know you are reading. Answer the question.

I was passing by a TV and Sean Hannity was on, and the banner on the bottom of the screen read "Congress approval rating down to 11%."
Don't know the source or methodology, but that sounds about right.
Won't Fuzzy from Oneonta be surprised, when the chips start falling, where they land?

Beware. His Holiness is most likely a member of The Enablers looking to incite and indict. They have just about that much honor, and honesty. It's a shame that, in spite of their oath of office to "...preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution...", the vast majority of them instead spit on it and then bow and scrape before their Masters and do whatever they're told. Just like the fine Chicago "Law Enforcement" officers who watched Hizzoner point the gun at the reporter and threaten him, and then did NOTHING.

This is what I was commenting about the other day on the Zombie Land Post..... and I quote:

Mike this is from a posting you did a few days ago.

We are no longer one nation or one people. Rather, there are now two Americas: one conservative, the other liberal. Increasingly, we no longer just disagree but we despise each other.

I think it would be more like three or four different peoples.

And this is comment that I made a few days before that.

Mike, the time for words has passed, they won´t listen. They only hear what they want to hear so that they can turn and twist anything that we would say to them to warn them of the perils that await us all. They Lie and Ridicule AND then Say that We are the Dangerous Ones that We are the Radicals.
I am tired of watching there arrogance, and waiting for them to make that fatal miscalculation in our patience. Let them make THAT mistake that error, LET THE RESTORATION BEGIN.

Why do we Bother listening any more. It only aggravates us,not them they don´t have sense enough to get aggravated.
They don´t have any knowledge of this counties history or traditions. Hell man they don´t even know the meaning of Christmas. If you said to one of them ¨to enjoy the fruit of your labor¨they would be so confused that they wouldn´t even hear anything you say afterwards.

So all we can do now is keep preparing and be ready when they make that fatal error and push that last time. We both know it´s coming Collectivists and Tyrants don´t have the sense to have caution.
It raises my blood pressure reading such dribble from Idiots like this. And yes I do DISPISE these people. And I hope that God will forgive me for this hatred. I do Try to be a good Christian but the Utter Disgust I feel for people like this Steve is beyond my control.

Unquote, I really don't care what numb nuts or numb cunts have to say anymore. When the Idiots THINK it´s time to make their move go right ahead then we´ll see who becomes extinct. I no longer see any of the so called Liberal/Progressive/Socialists as being Innocent? They Think They Won Because This Is A Democracy...
How many times have Ya´ll heard THAT ONE.. no no more innocents they are ALL on the Menu.
Fuckem All.

And another one gone...

If the Fathers had intended the Constitution to be a "living, breathing" document to be remade any way subsequent generations saw fit, it would have consisted of four simple words:

Do What You Will

The very presence of a Constitution and the emphatic restrictions on federal power contained therein is proof that the Elasticity Clause did not apply to that which is obviously unconstitutional.

This is nothing but a naked power grab, and on a certain level leftists know it.

Well this is perfectly understandable. Jim O'Leary is feeling unmanly because of his .9mm pistol.

So too would you! Jim, modern medicine can help you. There is no need to suffer with a miniscule "gun" any more.

PS: "O'Leary" is NOT a Yankee name. Not even after a fifth of Irish Whiskey.

To Steve K.:

The .9mm is highly recommended for tarantulas, wolf spiders, and larger insects such as hornets. It is probably overkill for smaller spiders and insects and is a little underpowered for mice unless you are an experienced hunter who can get close and place the round precisely.

It is also very intimidating to ignorant liberals.

Nothing says "Leave Me Alone" like a .9mnm, especially if it has a flash hider and a bayonet lug.

I'm 64, and a five foot woman. I carry a .45 - openly.

A young man came up once and sneered,"anyone could take that away from you."

I smiled and asked if he wanted to try it.

He went away.

Jim, boyo... YOU want to try it?
