Pretty funny. Just received this from my youngest daughter.

I once worked for a Master Sergeant (USAF) who had a unique but very effective use for a non-functional double barrel 12 gau. He spray painted it a very bright international orange and set it on the coffee table in his living room.

When his teenaged daughter (think Kaley Cuoco in "8 Simple Rules") started dating a new boy, Dad made her bring the boy inside so my boss could "meet" him. He would sit the boy down on the couch, talk to the boy, get to know him and advise him that his daughter had a curfew. At no time did my boss ever mention or even call attention to the shotgun. Despite completely ignoring the 12 gau, somehow his daughter was ALWAYS home before curfew. Imagine that.

My first serious girlfriend's Father had a double 12 sitting by the kitchen door. It was NOT deactivated, so my ability to keep track of time was vastly improved!
