"U.K. columnist asks if world should intervene to stop U.S. ‘gun violence.’" Please do. Then we can get this settled once and for all. Just be sure to send enough body bags.
“[W]hat if we no longer thought of this as just a problem for America,” he asks, “and, instead, viewed it as an international humanitarian crisis -- a quasi civil war, if you like, that calls for outside intervention?”
My comment:
Please do, by all means. Blue helmets make such obvious aiming points. But, really, foreign intervention to impose citizen disarmament? I think that's a wonderful idea. I can think of nothing more calculated to unite Americans to overthrow all your collectivist toadies -- domestic and international. Then we can get this settled once and for all. Just be sure to send enough body bags. Be careful what you wish for. You may get it.

The British Ministry of Propaganda does have its entertainment value now and then.
I did enjoy that link in the article:

I could not have expressed it any better!
Ironic, though, that the paragraph could be applied to the idea of Obunghole getting US involved in Syria's civil war.
BRAVO !!!!
I have read a lot about the UN coming in to "aid the DHS in disarming America" over the last year. Y'all think Obullshit has a plan? AND WHO do they plan to get to DO this nasty deed.
+Lets see. Brits seem to have a very short memory. What happened in 1775? Took a little while but you boys in those red coats got your asses kicked. Then in 1812 you got your asses kicked. In 1914 to 1917 you were getting your asses kicked till we got in and saved your kicked asses after you lost four million troops. Then in 1940 you were getting your asses kicked and we had to bail your asses out again. Now you pansey ass whimps think you want to join the Useless Nations and come here just to get ALL your asses kicked. Remember what Isoroko Yamamoto said to the Japanese high command on the subject of invading the American homeland." I would never even consider such an undertaking. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass." And we have a lot more rifles behind a lot more blades of grass then we did then. Come get some. Being assholes and gutless sissies is how you lost your damned Empire. You just might want to reconsider what you are saying shit for brains and to WHOM you are saying it. First blue helmet I see will have a nice big hole in it shortly there after. One round, through the head, 1500 yards,.338 Lapua. Turns the head into a fucking canoe. I eagerly await your arrival on our shores.
This would be an excellent time for the Irish to start their festivities again and poke a stick in the eye of John Bull.
Didn't they try that once before? I guess these Brits have short memories?
I can't think of anything that would be more awesome than thirty or forty million fully-armed angry American hunters and sportsmen united against a bunch of foreigners with blue helmets - or any helmets, for that matter. Bring it on, you delusional asshats.
Well said!
Reminds me of the old saying, "What part of Europe are you from? The part whose ass we kicked, or the part whose ass we saved?"
Apparently the 'tards don't have much memory or forethought. They forget that earlier this month month, we had at least 41 divisions on motorcycles making laps around DC. Now picture those same bikers pissed off and armed. MmmHmm.
PLEASE throw dis rabbit in da briar patch! Those pretty blue helmets make great targets. I used to sight in on them in various places overseas where they were. I laugh when idiots talk about OTHER PEOPLE doing their heavy lifting for them. You know this Brit and clowns like Piers Moron don't have the balls to do it.
Silly progressives, don't they understand consequences?
If anything like this would ever happen here it would be the starting signal for tens of million of pissed off Americans that open season begins for; the enforcers, the people who sent the enforcers and the people who voted for them. No bag limits would be imposed.
Has anyone else noticed the irony of the same paper that recently stated they only shared snowden leak data with the ny times bc the us has a first amendment right to free speech and to avoid the British govt stopping publication of the NSA stories is trashing those archaic bill of rights?
