Not only unprincipled but stupid and incompetent. Gottlieb's sellout looks like it's coming up short. Will Gottlieb's membership care that the sellout was to no purpose?
GOA says in their email alert urging folks to contact their senators that "Gun Control Could Die Today!"
It would have been better if we had won the motion to proceed last week and didn't have to spend this week fighting one Harry Reid bribe after another - all of which are intended to lure Senators into passing gun control.
But we believe that our grassroots’ pressure has kept Senators from giving in to the bribes. And, as early as today, there could be a series of pivotal votes on gun amendments.
The most important - and the vote which will determine whether we defeat all gun control in the 113rd Congress - is the vote on the Toomey-Manchin-Schumer gun registry bill.
Even Politico has doubts: Senate to vote Wednesday on gun control.
Voting on the Manchin-Toomey propsal is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., and both opponents and supporters say the margin is razor thin at this point. Even after nine votes on amendments, the Senate will not have finished work on a gun bill. A vote on final passage of whatever gun bill remains standing has not yet been set.
It begins to look like Gottlieb has hitched his sellout wagon to a dying horse. That makes him not only unprincipled but stupid and incompetent.

His bow tie was too tight.
Gottlieb and his crew have done more to advance our Constitutional gun rights than anyone.
Regardless of how all this plays out, I'm not throwing him under the bus and calling him a traitor.
Well here's one ex member and I checked unsubscribe on the emails that use to arrive.
Can't answer for others, but when I first heard of his collusion, Mr G got a post from me regretting my involvement with his group and promising to never associate with them again. That was a couple months ago and holds regardless of the outcome.
I'm through with the SAF over this nonsense.
Read an article today at ammoland where the NSSF thinks we need to get behind their version of gun control and support the Grassly version of gun control. they claim it will fix the NICS.
I say we dont need to fix anything.
I say we should be repealing law instead of playing games with our rights.
So this means i'm done with the NSSF as well.
The only group that isnt supporting gun control today seems to be GOA
I'm withholding judgement for the moment. But Alan better have been running some kind of Batman gambit, knowingly pushing bills that would collapse either in the Senate or on judicial review. Otherwise... well, Mike's already said it, no point in me saying it as well.
Anon@9:25AM - Aren't you forgetting JPFO?
