Alan Gottlieb, "Useful Jew."

Too cute by half. "Let's make a deal!" Why is this Wertvolle Juden smiling? Because he just negotiated away your God-given, natural and inalienable rights to liberty and property in return for a seat on the Judenrat.
Gun group ‘had hand in writing’ Manchin-Toomey background check amendment
The head of a national gun rights group is supporting the Manchin-Toomey background check bill, an email sent today to a group of Second Amendment activists, scholars and journalists revealed. Alan Gottlieb, Chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms and Founder of the Second Amendment Foundation also staked an authorship claim in the email, which he confirmed to Gun Rights Examiner is a for-the-record statement that can be shared and published.
“Just so you all know, I am in support on the Manchin-Tooney substitute bill to knock out the bad Schumer Background Check bill,” Gottlieb wrote. “I and our CCRKBA attorney lobbyist had a hand in influencing and writing parts of it.
David Codrea comments, with more self-control than I can muster at the moment:
This explains why Republican Toomey, who won election by a narrow margin, has been willing to put his name on the bill in spite of pleas from gun owners who have not been privy to behind-the-scenes efforts. He obviously believes this will give him the political cover he needs to present his actions later as one that was in gun owner interests to pass, and has good reason to suppose that at least one national gun group will back him on it.
In one fell swoop Gottlieb has provided political cover for all those waffling senators and congressmen who were seeking it desperately. The committed, truly evil collectivists like Feinstein and Schumer must be howling with laughter. In return for the chairman's seat on the Judenrat, Gottlieb has agreed to compromise YOUR God-given, natural and inalienable rights to liberty and property in return for, what? Language in a bill that is sure to be amended to our further detriment? At the critical moment when even the NRA was showing a little unexpected backbone, Gottlieb has out-flanked them with his own appeasement. The line is breached and it will be Gottlieb who will be remembered for that little treason.
There WAS a chance this could get stopped cold in the House. No more. Gottlieb's behind-the-scenes stab in the back has put paid to that idea. A truly "useful Jew" indeed.
"Do you believe that gonef Gottlieb was so stupid as to think he could outwit us? What a misplaced ego."

Dave Workman seems to have a different take on this one. If Gottlieb is on the level and manages to pull off the "chess trade" he claims to be working on it will be one thing. If he fails in that or sells us down the river it will be something else again. If SAF goes the way NRA has taken we're all well and truly "forked". But given his past work on Heller, McDonald and others I'm willing to cut him some slack.... for now.

As I commented yesterday to a friend: "patriots have no allies". The way I see it, there will just be more traitors to deal with, when the smoke clears. I'll predict there will be a superhighway of shit leading to the gallows.

It's appalling. To hell with Gottlieb, and Toomey & Manchin with him.

Note that the NRA has not capitulated on this.

The Three Percent are the folks the Founders counted on to save the Republic when everyone else abandoned it.

And we will.

There will be no more free Wacos and no more free Katrinas.

For we are the Three Percent.

We will not disarm.

You cannot convince us.

You cannot intimidate us.

You can try to kill us, if you think you can.

But remember, we’ll shoot back .

We are not going away.

We are not backing up another inch.

And there are THREE MILLION OF US.

Your move, Mr. Wannabe Tyrant.

Your move.

Reading the above, it seems far more good than bad.

My head hurts. Not only all that you mention, Mike, but now?

When that bill is bastardized, it will be proudly pronounced that it has the "stamp of approval" from the "gun rights community".

Who gave this asshole the authority to do this behind closed doors?

Oh, yeah, his ego ...

Another name to the list for the Day of Settling Accounts...

With sellouts like these, nobody can expect the ammo industry to EVER get caught up on replenishing stocks over the coming months... the people are going to buy even MORE ammo now!

Went to their website and hit the "contact us" button to send them a piece of my mind:

I am against your recent support for any new gun control efforts, and while I understand the supposed "wins" we might get from manchin-toomey as per your front page explanation, what your failing to understand is that ANY "WIN" AT ALL in any direction at all by the gun grabbers will put wind in their sails and they'll be back around next week after the next tragedy provoked by their victim disarmament "laws" to demand more- and given the recent precedent for "bi-partisan co-operation",they'll say "we can achieve this".

Gun control advocates are like the Viking raiders of the middle ages.Compromise with them,or pay them their Dane-geld,will result in them coming back for more, indefinitely, until we have nothing left.

Then they'll commence to raping and pillaging.

NO MORE COMPROMISE WITH THE PSYCHOTIC GUN GRABBERS,ON ANYTHING,NO MATTER WHAT.

Its time we started passing bills that repeal on whole or in part previous "gun control" "laws" with absolutely no concessions whatsoever to the grabbers,NOT agree to add more to them, with the veneer of "bi-partisan compromise" to help bolster their legitimacy.

Speaking of which, there is absolutely NOTHING legitimate about "gun control" "laws".

The Second Amendment, when read thru the lens of the preamble to the Bill of Rights, establishes it as a "declaratory and restrictive clause" in order that the federal government should not "misconstrue or abuse" its powers.

It CLEARLY denies them the authority to infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear arms, thus "gun control" is illegitimate and illegal.

As,of course,no one is making the case for this in DC,it is up to activists and groups that support the Second Amendment in its entirety, and with its original intent in mind,to do so.

Your recent acceptance of further illegitimate legislation in respect of powers not granted AND EVEN EXPLICITLY DENIED the federal government via the Second Amendment hinders the bringing to light of the reality of what the Amendment really is,and what its really about.

Please, refrain from doing ANYTHING FURTHER in this argument, unless you are willing to apologize to others who are in this fight and retract,in full, your support of this illegitimate "lawmaking" effort by the Senate to further infringe into territory not allowed and declared off limits by the Constitution.

"Gun control" "laws" are like pro-slavery laws, they BOTH violate the natural and unalienable,pre-existing human rights of their targets.

You either respect these human rights for what they are or you do not. There is no "middle ground".

And as you can't have a "reasonable" amount of slavery, you can't have a "reasonable" amount of "gun control".

Thank you for your time in reading my correspondence.
