White House Plans To Overwhelm NRA With Rapid Victory

The White House and gun control supporters are gearing up for a whirlwind month, with plans to pass reform legislation before outrage over the Sandy Hook massacre has a chance to fade. . .
While the fiscal cliff has dominated Washington’s attention in recent weeks, lawmakers and activists are laying the groundwork for their big push. Vice President Joe Biden, tasked with heading a commission to investigate gun violence, has been quietly meeting with experts, interest groups, and public officials and is expected to release a set of recommendations within weeks. Boston mayor Thomas Menino, co-chair of Michael Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns, told the Boston Herald this week that an optimistic Biden had assured him that Obama would sign legislation “by the end of January.”
“We had been led to believe their report would come by end of January, but we’re hearing they may want to have something out by January 15, even quicker than expected,” Mark Glaze, director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, told TPM.
There are political countermeasures to this blitzkrieg being discussed by a number of folks of national stature.

It's going to be fun to see the consternation when these controllers finally realize that the NRA doesn't speak for all of us... in fact, damned few of us and shrinking.

We need a coast to coast 'brass roots'range day next Saturday or the one following.

Everyone gets a little more 'well regulated' and is encouraged to network with the folks in the lanes next to them.

Someone with your voice could do this.

Anon 0658, sounds good. A warmish day would be nice.

What I really want to happen is for the new bills written by and for the Gun Confiscation Lobby to fail at the national level, but be passed in all of the northeastern states.

I want their populations to be as disarmed as possible.

All of them.

Why do you need a network when you already know who the enemies are and what they will and are doing even now?

Mr. Biden has a mighty stealthy commission working on this. Or would secret tribunal be a more accurate term?

Feinstein plans to introduce her centerpiece bill on January 22, and Dems expect a presidential signature on gun control nine days later.

How much more is in play here?

Now is not the time to be fighting among ourselves. The NRA ain't perfect but at least they are part of us whether you like it or not. I disagree with a lot of what they do and all the gime, gime mailings but if you own a gun and don't belong to the NRA then don't cry to me when your gun gets regulated. It takes all of against THEM.

Civil disobedience.
Whatever unConstitutional law is passed, just.don't.obey.
If it worked for that hero of east coast elitist Libtards, Henry David Thoreau (On Waldon Pond) (Civil Disobedience), it should work for us too.

If our side is only talking then things are not going to end well.

The 15th of January is ONLY 10 days away and the bad guys are sure as hell not going to take off the weekends or holidays in order to get some new restrictions on the books.

Urgent Alert…

Mike the Illinois General Assembly is having a special vote on the SEMI-AUTO BAN on SUNDAY!

This is outrageous even for Illinois; they have NO respect for the people!

They are doing this to minimize any effort to rally support against the Gun Ban Bill/Amendment, even the NRA/ISRA Lobbyist must make a special trip back to Springfield.

Mike here is the link to the Special Alert from the ISRA with phone numbers!

If the General Assembly is in session then the lines at the capitol are supposed to be manned.

So I am asking everyone to call these numbers even if you do not live in Illinois and let them know how despicable this vote is to BAN our GUNS!

The outrage over Sandy Hook may fade. Our outrage over our elected representative forsaking their sworn oaths will not.

Damn! I always hated the idea of a "Winter War". But, like relatives, you don't get to pick 'em. I always envisioned a fight with weather like they had at Gettysburg. Oh well. A bottle of lineament and some fleece, snow camo, should do it.

Actually, NRA membership numbers have been growing over the last several years. Like it or not they are the big dog on the block.
I support other gun rights organizations, also, but a whole bunch of private gun clubs have always required NRA membership in order to join. Many, if not most, firearms manufactures also support the NRA. Are they perfect? No. Do they piss me off? Yep. Still, they're the big dog.
Just saying.

All of you statists should read this quote from John Maynard Keynes, from whom we get the term Keynesianism.

Bernanke and Obama both believe in Keynesian Economics (and so do the Republicans, unknowingly), so this should be important to you:

The Economic Consequences of the Peace, by John Maynard Keynes

Lenin is said to have declared that the best way to destroy the Capitalist System was to debauch the currency. By a continuing process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. By this method they not only confiscate, but they confiscate arbitrarily; and, while the process impoverishes many, it actually enriches some. The sight of this arbitrary rearrangement of riches strikes not only at security, but at confidence in the equity of the existing distribution of wealth. Those to whom the system brings windfalls, beyond their deserts and even beyond their expectations or desires, become "profiteers,", who are the object of the hatred of the bourgeoisie, whom the inflationism has impoverished, not less than of the proletariat. As the inflation proceeds and the real value of the currency fluctuates wildly from month to month, all permanent relations between debtors and creditors, which form the ultimate foundation of capitalism, become so utterly disordered as to be almost meaningless; and the process of wealth-getting degenerates into a gamble and a lottery.

Lenin was certainly right. There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning the existing basis of society than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose.

For an understanding of how this process happens in the United States, watch this:

I think some of you will be pleasantly surprised at how effective the NRA will be in fighting Di Fi and the rest of her and BHO's useful idiots.

The mass shootings in schools problem can be solved in three ways. Banning any kind of gun is NOT one of the ways. These are the ways:
1. Improve ways to fairly identify mentally ill folks and prevent their access to firearms.
2. Eliminate schools being "gun-free zones" by repealing all laws which require that.
3. Allow qualified teachers who volunteer and pass extra background checks and get proper training, to be armed with concealed handguns in school. That way any SOB who attacks a school will have no telling how many competently armed adults in all parts of a school to try to overcome. This should not strain school budgets even as much as hiring one armed officer and will be much more effective at protecting schools than any single armed person could be.

By the way, the Birmingham gun show today (1/05) was so crowded at 1:30 the ticket line required more than an hour's wait - at 1:30 PM, not 9 AM! Since I didn't need anything bad enough to wait that long, especially at current prices, I just left.
May God bless America.

White House weighs broad gun-control agenda in wake of Newtown shootings

Read the article. Their solutions are a joke. They want:

Universal background checks for firearm buyers,
Track the movement and sale of weapons through a national database,
Strengthen mental health checks,
Stiffen penalties for carrying guns near schools or giving them to minors

They can't even track Mexicans here on a temporary visa who have 'overstayed'. How the heck could they be competent enough to track any weapons?

Strengthen mental health checks? What does that mean? The kid in CT was crazy as a hoot owl- were they aware of him? How about the one in Colorado? Also a nut case.

Stiffen penalties for carrying near a school? OK, armed nut case goes into a school, kills people and shoots himself. What penalties do they want to impose on the kid's corpse? Will their 'penalties raise the dead? He stole the mother's guns- killed her and then went to the school and killed two dozen people. What are they going to do to the dead mother-penalize her post mortem because the crazy kid got access to her weapons?

This tells me how much of a joke this is. And the 'low information' obamabot voters will swallow this bullshit hook line and sinker and think they really give a shit about 'saving the children'. Every time these assholes want to do something they use the 'saving the children' meme. It has nothing to do with saving anybody's children. If they were worried about saving any children they would have stronger penalities for child molesters and lock them up for eternity and they wouldn't be sending anybody's children to the middle east to fight with a bunch of goat screwing mooslims who marry 12 year olds and beat their wives.

IMNSHO, far better for every gun owner and 2nd amendment - and all constitutional supporters - to be flooding the offices of their representatives/senators with polite and focused letters,
EMails, Telegrams and snail mail opposing any and all "heat of the moment" imposition of new gun laws.

Never, never, ever forget: the overwhelming majority of the 20K odd gun laws we already have on the books target "those that didn't do it", i.e. the vast majority of gun owners ! Perhaps its time we demand our ruling elite "splain" -aand document - exactly how the latest round of "gun control" laws being proposed will impact the criminal elements of our society.

Its already self-evident most of the new proposals only serve to "criminalize " or ostraciize the majority of gun owners . But if we're "criminals" or "social deviants" -and even "terrorists" (as some anti=gun pundits have suggested), why should we acknowledge the supremacy of anti-constitutional socialists/elitists ? .JEff

Compose a letter calling for no more gun control, send it to all your congress critters, then copy it and go to NRA-ILA and use their easy contact device to re-send the letter to your entire congressional delegation.

The proper run-up to an announced "blitzkrieg" is continuous carpet bombing.

Went to a gun show today and the line to get in the door was really long. Sold an UZI Carbine to someone who wanted to have a non-papered firearm and made enough money to get my house payments current. Got behind on the house since the OBAMA PHONE program put my employer OUT OF BUSINESS. I blame the SOCIALIST PREZ personally for putting my employer of 20 year out of business. Time for me to try to feed my family and keep my home since I am NOT rich but my crime is I am a HONKEY which the Muslim Socialist in the WhiteHouse HATES. If I were to ever overhear someone planning to do harm to anyone in DC, I will never tell anyone, but will just let whatever happens to happen.
Just my 2 cents worth regarding opinions on the dipwads in DC.

Here's a big question: How many people on here have called their local sheriff/police chief and demanded an official, career-influencing policy on what they will do after these laws are passed?

When are you people going to shake the crazy off and start thinking clearly? You are letting your dislike for the NRA influence your ability to think perform rationally. What happened anyway? Did the NRA knock your books out of your hand in high school? Tell your mommy that you were touching your naughty parts? Screw your girlfriend? Seriously, grow up and recognize the very real threat to your ability to own a gun. You say that the NRA does not speak for you. That is a good point, but do you think mike speaks for the rest of us? No way! Nor can mike sway the millions of gun owners that the NRA can.

You guys quote Latin phrases and claim to know what is going on, but you clearly do not have a clue. The administration is in the process of using the age old strategy of divide and conquer. The administration is using you mutts as useful idiots to cause a rift between the different types of gun owners. You dumbasses sit back and insult everyone by calling them prags, fudds, and other less polite terms while you do what? Sit around and babble on about how you will fight before you are disarmed. Right. When your lord and master mike vanderboegh was pulled over by the cops, he handed his pistol over just a polite as can be. So much for not being disarmed. When the SWAT team shows up at your house you will do the same exact thing. The weekend you spent eating beans while you sat around the campfire reading 20 year old Army manuals is not going to be any match for the training the SWAT people go through. Those kids go through 3 months of intense training just to be certified and then go through periodic training to keep that certification. What do you guys do for training besides drinking coffee, burying ammunition, and flapping your gums? Be part of the solution instead of the problem. You don’t like the NRA? Fine. Find a group that you can support and start supporting them. Don’t rely on mike though, after all he has already told you that he is going to be busy writing and talking, but not shooting. So how about doing us all a favor and take your heart medicine, browse the latest AARP magazine, and have a big steaming cup of Shut The Fuck Up.
