Hmmm. UN bureaucrats in New York offering themselves up as targets in a 4GW guerrilla war? Interesting.

Anonymous said...: Who runs the Internet? Actually it's this one weird old geek who has a black box on a table near his desk and he assigns ALL IPs. The black box computer holds the only database translating all numeric IP addresses into human readable DNS names.

It was started as an NSF funded project, the company was sold to Science Applications International Corporation (NY:SAI) and thence to a profit-making corporation, InterNIC ad infinitum.
