Removing the moral disincentive for American genocide.

Obama’s inauguration reverend: All whites are going to hell.
All white people are going to hell, longtime African-American civil rights advocate Rev. Joseph Lowery told an audience at a get-out-the-vote event held Oct. 27 in Georgia.
Lowery, who gave the benediction at the January 2009 inauguration of President Barack Obama, told the audience of up to 300 African-Americans “that when he was a young militant, he used to say all white folks were going to hell. Then he mellowed and just said most of them were. Now, he said, he is back to where he was,” according to an Oct. 31 report in the Monroe County Reporter newspaper.
“I don’t know what kind of a n—– wouldn’t vote with a black man running,” Lowery also told the audience in the St. James Baptist Church in Forsyth, Ga., according to the Reporter.
This is an interesting position for a so-called Christian minister to take, but it even has another more startling feature -- It removes the moral disincentive for American genocide against black folks. I mean, if we're all going to hell anyway and there is no saving grace of Jesus Christ available to white folks (a position I of course reject, but Lowery seemingly does not), then all black folks can be killed without Divine punishment, right? Is this really what Lowery has in mind?

It's probably safe to assume that the good Rev thinks Obama and Holder are going to heaven, despite the little irregularities in Mexico and Benghazi.

It is disconcerting, to say the least, that rhetoric like this is being bandied about so "nonchalantly" as if it means nothing. Whenever I post any comments on the internet I'm careful not to write anything that could be deemed as inflammatory to the point of intending violence. Yet, in public places and, in this case published widely, people are saying things that one would believe would get the attention of the authorities. But then I realize it's okay if you say the "right" wrong things.

Barack had a black father and a white mother. Does God believe in the one drop of blood rule? Does his self-identification as a black American block him from fiery damnation? Please give us your revelation, Rev. Lowrey.

All the reporters, entertainers, artists and even bloggers who have been afraid to point out the hatred of Blacks towards White Men for the last few decades. Along with those who bought into the liberal/feminist Politically correct censorship and were afraid to mention the truth because they might get called a Waaaaaaycist. Are the one's really to blame.

It was allowed to grow until now it is open hostility with no fear of reprisal.

Each must look inside themselves and decide if they knuckled under to the pressure.

I don't think there are any more racist people than those in black leadership positions, and they are begging, BEGGING, for a race war. I really question their sanity, when at best, they represent 13% of the population. The great delusion spoken of in the Bible is here, and there are many that are willingly deluded.

and regardless of any other consideration, shouldn't it read "white Americans"? or do you think black Americans would kill their own if they were going to hell anyway?

Like they aren't already?

Also, there are other racial groups in this country that are not black beside so-called "whites" including Hispanics who actually bear more animus for black folks than "whites" do.

I have written extensively about how I despise the collectivist obsession with race and racial division.

My main point is that Lowery, for all his claimed Christianity is making a profoundly anti-Christian statement.

Sheesh!!
And it's we white conservative Christians that are supposed to be the hate-mongering bigots and racists?? Seriously??
Give me an Effen' break!!
But, if that's what you want, Rev, that's what you'll get. I won't start it. But in the name of self-defense, I'll do my damnest to finish it.
Roger and out.

Ah, lighten up. This racist rant was made by a black man concerning whites, not a white man concerning blacks -- the rev has a pass. Besides, he now assures us it was all a joke: “It was a joke” told via the perspective of a young militant, Lowery told The DC.

Race War? Bad for the economy, bad for community and bad for restoring the Republic. No Race War, yes to voting in a new class of Politicians, starting local. It's difficult and hard work either way people.
The devil is great at distracting one from goals.

jcomeaux - Mike doesn't actually need you or me or anyone to 'defend' him; anyone who has read the man's words over the years, or met him or spent any time with him, knows better than to try to scare him with the 'racist' tag.

I see it the other way around. If all whites are condemned to hell anyway, there is no Devine retrebution for killing them. This leads us to Matthew 7:22, 23: "Many will say to me that day," Lord,Lord, did we not prophecy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform any miracles"? Then I will tell them plainly, "I never knew you. Away from me your evildoers!"
