Mike, hope the writing is going well. You probably know these already but here's just in-case:

The "Write Shite" principal, says it doesn't have to be perfect first time, get into writing and get it written down as fast as you can think, you can correct punctuation, choose better words etc when you are proof reading, get it flowing and get it down.

"write with your heart not your mind" you have really good characters and really good plot, let them run!
