Sorry I didn't enable your comments until very late today.

Had a very rough late morning and afternoon.

With ‘Run All Night,’ anti-gun hypocrite Neeson may run all the way to the bank

(M)any paying top dollar for tickets will undoubtedly be gun owners, and many of those may not realize they’ll be patronizing – providing aid and comfort, really – to an avowed enemy of their right to keep and bear arms.

Another round of spam going around with my name on it. DO NOT OPEN THE LINK.

Sorry, but it will say "From Mike V." but of course it isn't, it's the same sort of spam that was plaguing me about a year ago this time.

Mysterious spy cameras collecting data at post offices

Within an hour of FOX31 Denver discovering a hidden camera, which was positioned to capture and record the license plates and facial features of customers leaving a Golden Post Office, the device was ripped from the ground and disappeared.

Underdogs and Overlords

Such people believe it to be entirely appropriate to imprison a human being for wounding a police dog, while offering a paid vacation to a cop who shoots a ten-year-old boy, or blows open the chest of a sleeping infant with a flash-bang grenade.

Apparently the bastard's recovered from his near-death political experience.

Hick implies 'Real misgivings' with repealing mag ban
But of course Dudley's got his tin cup out and rattling:
At the Capitol, the hearing, held in the Capitol’s largest committee room which seats 260, was less than a third full. One of the bill’s most ardent supporters, Dudley Brown of the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, sent an email out to supporters on Monday asking for donations for a new national organization that would fight gun control laws at the federal level. SB 175 was not mentioned.

Everything Dudley Brown touches turns to fund-raising shillery and excrement.

Fritsch is the founding director of Mississippi Gun Rights, created in October according to Secretary of State records. The group is affiliated with Colorado-based National Association of Gun Rights, a group that bills itself as a more conservative alternative to the National Rifle Association.
Gipson led the charge on gun law changes in 2013 that clarified Mississippians have the right to openly carry firearms without a permit, and for clarifying concealed carry laws to provide more protection for holders. He's been criticized by anti-gun groups, but this is the first he's faced from a pro-gun organization.
"I think this is just a fundraising group — a shield, a sham, a ruse," Gipson said. "They're doing what they've done in other states, going after the most conservative, pro-gun rights people … I've made up my mind I'm not going to take their crap."

Guns in America: While ownership falls, sales remain strong

The big challenge for me looking at these numbers is that you have to be confident that people are going to report their gun ownership accurately,” said Samuel Bieler, research associate at the independent and non-partisan think tank Urban Institute in Washington. “And I think it’s an open question as to whether if a gun owner is already suspicious of someone’s motive for collecting firearm information, whether they’d be willing to do that,” he added. There are also Gallup surveys that point to spikes in gun ownership in recent years. “There’s enough noise and enough countervailing explanations that to me, the jury is really still in some ways out on the full amount of gun ownership,” said Mr. Bieler.

They might even fall down and kick and scream in frustration.

New Body Armor to Lighten Soldier Load

Fielding body armor that is both protective and light has long been a challenge for the Army, but a new material that can reduce the weight of products by 30 percent is making its way into protective gear. The Army in December awarded a contract for the Generation II Soldier Plate Carrier System to Point Blank Enterprises. The new torso armor provides the same level of ballistic protection as the improved outer tactical vest, and it incorporates a product called Dyneema — a flexible, lightweight polymer fiber that is 15 percent stronger than steel.

West Virginians: Help Pass Constitutional Carry In Your State.

The West Virginia Citizens Defense League sends the following alert:
Charleston, WV - Thursday, March 12th, 2015 - Today Constitutional Carry (SB347) passed the House of Delegates by a vote of 71 - 29. This historic vote is an enormous leap forward for Second Amendment rights in West Virginia. The stage is set for West Virginia to become the latest state to formally adopt the motto: "the Constitution is my carry permit."
After a procedural vote by the Senate, the bill will head to the Governor Tomblin. The governor must not veto this bill. Please call Governor Tomblin's office at 304.558.2000 and urge him to sign this giant leap forward in the liberty and personal safety of not just West Virginians, but all who travel to West Virginia. Contact all your friends and associates, and ask them to do the same. It's not much in terms of effort, just dial the number and politely tell whoever answers: "Please ask the governor to sign SB347."

Am interested in this event and any in upstate New York that might happen right after or right before it.

10th Annual Pennsylvania 2nd Amendment Action Day
A reader says he'd like to see me there and it is possible to work the schedule out, especially if I could dovetail it into a visit to upstate New York to stick my finger in Cuomo's eye. A friend, however, seems to think I would have difficulty getting a place on the speaker's list because I may be "too radioactive" for the crowd. What say you, Keystoners?

Bulk Collection of Signals Intelligence: Technical Options (2015)

Something to download and read on those long, rainy spring nights.
The Bulk Collection of Signals Intelligence: Technical Options study is a result of an activity called for in Presidential Policy Directive 28 (PPD-28), issued by President Obama in January 2014, to evaluate U.S. signals intelligence practices. The directive instructed the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) to produce a report within one year "assessing the feasibility of creating software that would allow the intelligence community more easily to conduct targeted information acquisition rather than bulk collection."

Well, you gotta hand it to the bastards -- they're honest as hell about their appetites for our liberty and property.

ATF Wants To Go After All 5.56 mm Ammunition, Not Just Green Tip
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on Thursday raised new concerns about surplus military ammo used in popular AR-15 rifles and pistols just days after pulling back on a proposal to ban the ammo because it could threaten police safety. In a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing, ATF Director B. Todd Jones said all types of the 5.56 military-style ammo used by shooters pose a threat to police as more people buy the AR-15-style pistols.

Abolishing ATF Might Undermine One of the Best Tools for Hobbling Federal Gun Laws

The BATFE is an obscenity, and I want it gone, but first, I want the obscenities it exists to enforce abolished. Until that happens, let's leave those laws in the incompetent hands of the BATFE.
