You know, these guys' appetites are going to get them in deep, deep trouble one of these days.
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, constitutional criminal.
"Brooklyn lawmakers seek to tightly restrict sales of ammo statewide."
State lawmakers from Brooklyn announced on Monday new legislation aimed at tightly restricting the sale of ammunition in New York. The Senate and Assembly bills were drafted in an effort to keep potential terrorists from stocking up on ammo, according to sponsors state Sen. Roxanne Persaud and Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon. The twin bills are backed by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, who worked with Persaud and Simon to craft them. The legislation would place a strict limit on the number of bullets a gun owner could purchase over a 90-day time period, and prevent gun dealers from selling ammunition for a firearm to anyone unauthorized to have such a weapon. . .
While the measure is aimed at owners of assault rifles, the language contained in the draft legislation would also affect owners of handguns with much smaller capacities, such as six-shooters. Since the measure would cap the amount of ammunition to no more than twice the amount of the capacity of the weapon every 90 days, these gun owners would be limited to buying a dozen bullets every three months.
NOTE: Check out the photo that goes with the story. Where in the name of Beelzebub did the Brooklyn Eagle find those old, moldy 9mm NATO rounds?

Maybe we gun owners should just move out of NYC, & places like California. Let those places experiment.
Hows the job market in 'Bama these days.
These people don't / can't think beyound there thirst for power
"Unauthorized"? Totalitarian scum. They really don't get it. Just another name on the list.
Guess it never occurs to them that you can just drive outside the city, county, state and purchase whatever ammo needed, in whatever quantity needed, so they really aren't accomplishing anything.
Liberal Stupidity at it's best
That pic looks like WWII issue ammo..For a good laugh read the comments embedded in that article. I found the comment from Penn. the best as I'm about 35 minutes from the PA. border and understand exactly what he's talking about..but as for BP Adams, I know someone who was in Transit Police back in the 80's when NYPD and Transit were separate entities, and she said she had opportunity to be around Adams. Word is - he was a POS then, and he's a POS now. Clowns like him stay in their self-made fantasyland of NYC and if/when they have to travel to Albany they race up the thruway with their bodyguards in order to get there ASAP and not be caught in a rural area upstate where they would be, well, let's just say "less than liked". Their wonderful Democratic Club, along with Mayor DeBlasio, have brought the folks living (living?) in NYC all the wonder and spectacle of "Progressive" utopia. They've now returned to the days of homeless bathing in LaGuardia airport restrooms and defecating on the streets. And the return of graffiti brings back all the nostalgia of the 1970's and 80's "good 'ol days" when the city teetered on bankruptcy. Of course the explosion in heroin addiction adds to the "Happy days are here again" sentiment. If the u.S. prosecutor Preet Bahara, who convicted Sheldon Silver and Dean Skelos recently, set his sights on NYC politicos instead of Albany he would have such a field day that the city gov't would have to shut down as a result of them all being jailed.
New Yorkers need to hang their legislators from light poles in front of their homes.
Do it all at once without warning so none of them get any forewarning. Maybe then they'll get the fucking message.
I'm guessing out of some high ranking cop's duty weapon.
Reminds me of a story where a police chief retired and turned in his snubbie. The .38 SPL rounds were corroded so tight in the cylinder they had to be driven out with a mallet after a liberal soaking in WD40.
Exactly how are people supposed to be proficient with a handgun if limited to 10, 12 or 14 rounds every 90 days? How is someone supposed to break-in a new semi-auto to know if it functions properly, how will they be able to check it out using different makes of ammo to know if there's some that are glitchy in their particular gun?
Know-nothing anti-gun lawmakers, if they get their way this time, could get law abiding folks killed through insufficient training or improperly vetted arms. But that would only add to the kind of stats totalitarians like to tout, building the myth that guns are no good for self defense.
That's a photo of what a true "dumbass" looks like!

Ammo restrictions are casus belli.
The depicted cartridges are not NATO rounds, the headstamp markings are all wrong for that. They *are* old :-)

That's dangerous. How will folks maintain their ability to safely handle and operate their weapons without the ability to keep up perishable skills. I guess PA gun shops and other surrounding states better stock up on ammo for their brand new customers coming from across the NY state line.
"...Exactly how are people supposed to be proficient with a handgun if limited to 10, 12 or 14 rounds..."
Seriously, Doug? You don't really think they want you/anyone to be "proficient" or that any firearm you/anyone owns to function reliably? Do you?
Not long ago, based on heller and mcdonald, Puerto Rico courts struck down amoo limitations.
This cannot stand.
Kinda surprised you haven't talked about the seattle situation that just saw a court uphold a vicious taxation scheme.
It is a ugly bit of appetite that has the possibility of going nation wide, state by state especially.
They are starting to figure out that courts cannot discard the power of taxation and the path now will be to tax the new heights making it prohibitive because the cost is just tooooo high.
Got "sin tax"?
Doug, 7:19Am,
There are many out there, "behind enemy lines", who are practicing the stealthy art of "WWNC", We Will Not Comply. Right now, they could give a wrinkle on a dead rat's (tail) about registering weapons, magazine size, and limited ammunition purchase. They will find a way, in contradiction of unConstitutional laws, to keep supplied, and keep proficient.

Did the commenter who suggested it came from a cop's gun know that Eric Adams is retired NYPD, which helps explain his utter disdain for the Constitution?
I've seen legislation before which was so awful that passing it into law should merit the death penalty for everybody who voted for passage.
This is the first time I've seen a proposal so heinous that merely introducing it into a legislative body or co-sponsoring it should result in the death penalty.
It'll be upheld in court, just as the 'gun violence tax has been in Seattle....
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/12/23/judge-upholds-seattle-gun-violence-tax-despite-challenge-from-gun-rights-groups.html
...and the mag ban in L.A., and the requirements to videotape every gun purchase in San Fran and Chicago, and all the rest. The blue-state fascists own the big cities anyway, that's their center of gravity, so that's where they're pouring their dollars. And natch, they're winning.
Our enemies are superb at prepping the battlefield. You really do have to admit that.
Lots of racist innuendo in the comments here. But you'll be in good company when Trump takes the helm, so go ahead, make yourself known for what you are.

Hm. If they get froggy, one wonders what electrical and water distribution in Brooklyn looks like these days.
JUST JOKING! Tho it would be fun to watch 'em flip out about that.
"Lots of racist innuendo in the comments here."
Ahem....
One comment referred to Adams as a "POS". Another referred to him as a "dumbass".
Was I asleep under a rock when these terms became racist?
How about "Totalitarian scum"? Surely there are totalitarian scum of all races? Or were you referring to "liberal stupidity"?
For some reason Lady Macbeth comes to mind.
This is a declaration of WAR on the US constitution, and American citizens living in NY state! This law doesn't keep terrorists from stocking up on ammo - IT PREVENTS AMERICAN CITIZENS FROM EXERCISING A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT!
IF THEY PASS THIS LAW - IT IS TIME TO USE OUR RIGHT TO ARMS - TO KEEP OUR RIGHT TO ARMS!
Anyone who saw anything racial in the article or any comment up to and including this one, sees racism in the song "White Christmas" or the existence of black licorice.

"You know you're over the target when you start getting heavy flak"..and judging by how this site has been getting "flakked" by trolls lately, I'd say "We're over the target"...BOMBS AWAY!!!
These infringements just keep on keeping on. Yet we still sit on our butts waiting for them to "cross the line".
When will enough be enough for us??????

So, has anybody actually seen a box of 12 rounds of .44 Mag? Shot shells don't count as I've seen boxes of 6.
Do I buy a box of 20, remove 12, and have the vendor tag the remaining 8 rounds w/my name & date? Will he then dispense the remaining 8 rounds from that box he tucked away 90 days earlier? Then will he allow me to purchase another box that I can only remove 4 rounds from and repeat the process of name & date all over again?
Not that my heart bleeds, but isn't it illegal to sell less than a full pack of smokes? A man did die selling individual smokes. Peace be onto him.(sarc)
If I brought 1 round from home to match up w/the stores ammo, thus carrying 13 rounds, would I then be an immediate FELON?
Not that I give a Rats Butt about "their laws".....but I got banks to rob, Meth to cook, Congressional Committees to lie to, Crack to sling, illegal foreign donations to wash..
I don't want to get busted on the "Low hanging fruit crimes"

Used properly, those ten "moldy bullets" would more than take care of ten communist minions....don't ever discount the moldy old ammo of 60 years ago or 20 years ago, its all better than the AMMO YOU DONT HAVE WHEN YOU NEED IT.. but 10 UNUSED "moldy" 9mm rounds are the most useless things in the world without a determination to make them worthwhile to preserve FREEDOM and LIBERTY from the minions who WILL use them against you gladly..
