Also keep in mind that the FCC radio license database is publicly searchable, so if you have an Amateur Radio or Commercial license, your mailing address will show up in a callsign or name search.
I am really pissed about this over reach AGAIN!!! I have worked very hard in the past year and a half to learn how to fly R C airplanes. I have bought old planes and fixed them up because I can't afford new ones. I am very proud that my old mind could master the fun of flying a little nitro powered airplane around in circles doing loops, rolls and sometimes smacking the ground.
They can kiss my fat hairy ass before I register with these bastards. I will crush every damned one of them first. If this was not a law passed by congress it is not a law.
Registered or not, the FAA doesn't have enough 'inspectors' to go around for regular aircraft, much less some dolt with a hobby aircraft. Just don't be stupid. Keep away from airports, below 500 ft and within line of sight. Even if you took pictures and sell them, which makes you "commercial" in their eyes, good luck proving how it was done. Don't talk and don't caption too many pictures online.
My airplane is registered with the FAA. I am a private pilot. All this information is currently on line at the FAA web site. Having your name in a government file is not(currently) the end of the world. I agree licensing a toy makes no sense. The model airplane associations are dead set against this as RC model planes are included. If owners used some common sense, this would have never happened.
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance....Where have I heard this before?
Will I need an FFL next, in order to sell a servo?
I've been trying to bust into the model airplane hobby since my first childhood. I worked in the hobby shop for several years trying to make it happen. It keeps me out of the tap rooms, and glued to something other than a TV. (gotta be more careful with that super glue)
I'm sure they will restrict kite flying too, before long. They hate any, and every activity that's wholesome.
Yes, I will resister. I've been working for too long at this, to give it up now. I can't afford the fine, if someone sees me, with a model, and decides to turn me in. I'm already in the Ham database, for similar reasons. I've complained to my Congressman about all this, but I'm sure he and his staff have more important issues to deal with...

Stay under 400 feet and tell the FAA to suck it. I refuse to register a toy with the Feral gubmint.
