Based on enjoyment of Thomas Sowell's columns, I am now finishing up the third of his "Culture" trilogy - "Conquests and Cultures". Fascinating and packed with detail, I have been forced to read it a few pages at a time, letting the information sink into my consciousness before tackling the next few pages. Imagine this column you have just read expanded to over 375 pages of text with additional copious footnotes covering numerous human civilizations on several continents. I must now also tackle the first two books of the trilogy based on my reading the third.

Thomas Sowell can recalibrate your thinking.
