"This is why thousands of utility workers, business executives, National Guard officers, F.B.I. antiterrorism experts and officials from government agencies in the United States, Canada and Mexico are preparing for an emergency drill in November that will simulate physical attacks and cyberattacks that could take down large sections of the power grid. They will practice for a crisis unlike anything the real grid has ever seen, and more than 150 companies and organizations have signed up to participate."

Simulate. Right. Does anyone think that they can really "simulate" a response to the chaos this would cause?

Yeah. A "drill".
Funny how every time they have a drill, the real thing happens at the same time, in the same place.
Perfect time for real terrorists to join in with real destruction of parts of the grid. Imagine the confusion that could cause. Those of us retired from the electric utility business could give the first responders a lot of good ideas of what they really need to protect.
