NRA joins ACLU lawsuit, claims NSA starting 'gun registry'

"It would be absurd to think that the Congress would adopt and maintain a web of statutes intended to protect against the creation of a national gun registry, while simultaneously authorizing the FBI and the NSA to gather records that could effectively create just such a registry," the group writes.

Absurd? More like "perfectly understandable".

Thats easy.. the feds funded the states building their own gun registry and because they paid for it they have proxy access.. thats why the treasonous bastards demanded background checks.. they get your name, the type of weapon and sometimes, depending i=on the dealer, mod and s?n of the weapon.. The court prohibited the fedes from having it but not the states.. its been going on for years.
Nothing new there.. the NRA knew too.

ACLU and NRA together on something? Hell's frozen over. It's the 167th sign of the apocalypse, LOL.

Though the ACLU is a bunch of communists whose goal seems to generally be to tear apart the fabric of our nation in favor of trying to establish a collectivist utopia, they happen to be on the correct side of issues regarding 4A. While I detest what they are really after (a communist America)...I can't fault them fighting government intrusion upon our rights.
