Sounds like she's establishing that the Colorado Legislature has the responsibility for your protection, despite what the courts have established. Could she personally be sued if someone in Colorado is hurt during a crime? Seems she's taking responsibility.

I was a victim years ago. Where was the state? Three days after my assault, as soon as I could see out both eyes, I bought a pocket pistol. I've carried for over 38 years and have drawn my weapon once, and never fired a shot other than the range.
I hate to wish bad things on anyone, but I hope that she gets robbed and maybe a little physical assault to go with it.
