Nuts. Tell me again about that whole "government monopoly of violence" thing. A strange tale of The Only Ones that CSGV want us to trust with firearms.

Forwarded to me under the headline "Pair Of Lauderhill Police Arrested For Alleged Sexual Battery" with the comment, "Psychos are us." "Officer Hartley, according to police, and the passenger had lengthy detailed sexual encounter. Once it was over, Officer Merenda allegedly told the driver to strike him in the genitals. The driver hesitated, authorities said, but Officer Hartley encouraged her to do so because it derived pleasure for Officer Merenda. The driver eventually complied with the Officers request, striking Officer Merenda in the genitals."

So the defense's best argument is that most men wouldn't enjoy the perverse sex act that his client demanded from a woman driving home from work?

The attorney for Merenda, Eric Schwartzreich, said the charges against his client are surprising.

“Unlawful compensation is defined as a benefit or an advantage,” explained Schwartzreich. “As a member of the male population, I can say that never in a million years is it a reward to get hit in the family jewels.”

Ya think officer Merenda might have had some British ancestors? I don't think Merenda is an English name, but that sounds like the kind of weirdness that might be in a Brit. There was a story told by a local radio show host years ago that went something like this:
Two British gents were talking over a glass of port after dinner in a private men's club. Nigil was telling George about an old acquaintance named Bottomly. It seems that Bottomly had left his wife and gone on an expedition to Africa with the British Museum. Everyone thought Bottomly had disappeared, but word arrived that he was alright and had merely run off with a baboon and that they were living together peacefully in the jungle. George asked, "Is the baboon a male?". Nigel said "No George, nothing queer about Bottomly".

(The radio personality's name was John Ed Willoughby.)
