Colorado Recalls Make History

In nearly 140 years of Colorado history, it’s never happened before. This year it is happening twice: Two legislators, both Democratic members of the Colorado State Senate, will face recall elections after the Democrat-controlled legislature, bullied by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Vice President Joe Biden, and supported by Governor John “I’m a Moderate” Hickenlooper, passed heavy-handed and unpopular restrictions on gun rights in the Centennial State. . .
For Senators Morse and Giron — particularly the former — it seems unlikely they will return to the State Senate in its next session. Although just the occurrence of the recall elections is remarkable, nothing says “history will remember me” as having so completely earned — by behaving as if they were legislating in Manhattan or San Francisco — being the first members of the state legislature ever to be recalled in Colorado.
In the meantime, Michael Bloomberg and his cronies are fighting for their leftist puppets. In what it claims was an inadvertent error, the New York Times mistakenly said that Mr. Herpin is “an author of erotic novels.” Is there any depth to which Bloomberg’s lapdogs will not sink? Based on recent history, the answer is a resounding “no,” but then they are about to learn that — as much as they’d hope otherwise — Colorado is not New York.

Now all we have to do is get the support to get these slime balls recalled. Send a strong message.

I'll believe they are recalled when they are actually recalled. Just means that their super majority is down two though ... and my state senator took $1.2 million in "campaign finance" funds yet is not being prosecuted under the bribery and "influencing public officials" statutes they are persecuting the gun rights guys under. And nobody is talking charging these assholes under 18USC241 and 242 the way they should be.

I hope they kick those two crumbs out. But don't be under any delusions.....it's very hard to recall an elected official.

Sounds like Mr Herpin has a good cases against the NYT for slander/libel - for BIG bucks. Thereby sinking the almost-bankrupt NYT closer to insolvency.

I just hope the people of Colorado will rise up and defeat these measures.

I had planned to move and open a business there....but with the legislative environment, there's no way I'd move there without an overwhelming rejection of the Colorado legislature's gun control measures by its citizens.

I suppose it is to be expected, the Libertarian-bashing from the American Spectator. Horrors that Morse's plurality might not have occurred had it not been for the presence of those pesky third parties... As if electing Republicans is a reliable means of obtaining 'set and forget' governance that will enforce the Bill of Rights. Typical AS BS. Like Mike says: "Watch what [they] do, not what they say."

Hugo
What I should have said, I guess, was that now we need to see that both are defeated in the election, as neither one is giving up.

Bloomberg is nothing but a BOTTOM FEEDER. Time to spread the word about how VILE he is. I will not have anything to do with him, NO WAY. I hear about "Bloomberg News" and ignore it. If someone can list what he is involved in, more of us can boycott his products.
