Hope everyone had a good weekend at the AGCA Birmingham gun show.

I'm still having technical difficulties with using this laptop here and interfacing with the hospital WiFi. Hopefully I'll get it fixed by this evening. I'm interested to know how things went -- how much ammo was sold, how many guns, what was the attitude of the participants. Please leave comments.

Feel better, and hang in there. You have my prayers each day. Truly, you're an inspiration to freedom-minded individuals here in the Northwest!

Here in Texas legend has it that Col James Bowie while lying on a sick bed in extremely ill health with typhoid, pneumonia and fever, asked to be carried over the line that Travis had drawn in the sand so that he could remain in the Alamo along with the other Texas heroes. And, that he gave a good account of himself when Mexican soldiers entered the room where he was confined to bed.

I'm thinking that you're ranking right up there with him in your dedication to the defense of our rights as Americans.

Morning Mike. I agree with Anonymous...hang in there. You are in the prayers of many. And you do encourage others, so many others. As to comments on the gun show, ammo sales and peoples' attitudes...I know that many do not like Prison Planet, but Drudge has a link to it regarding the continuing and escalating threats to riot if Obama is not re-elected. Armed conflict is just beneath the surface in America. There are those who openly recognize it, and there are those who are in denial about it. But a person who walks into a gun show and buys their first AR and 1000 rounds of ammo, while simultaneously outwardly denying that they are concerned about their safety ... "What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you are saying..." Or maybe they just fear speaking the truth because they fear being arrested. Fear of speaking the truth. The censorship and mind control is effective, isn't it?

I missed the Birmingham show. It's a little out of my neighborhood. ;-) But my wife and I did catch the one in West Palm, FL. Our impression was that the pre-election buying frenzy may be leveling off if not tapering off somewhat. Whereas at a recent show at Tamiami Park in Miami we saw people leaving with their arms full of stuff and people waiting for a space at a table to fill out a 4473, this time we saw few sales and most people leaving empty handed. In addition, vendors would try to cut you an additional "discount" if they saw you backing away from their table. It could well be that the gun buying public has the feeling that Romney will win.

So many people were at the AGCA show you couldn't stir 'em with a stick! Lots of ammo and black rifles were seen leaving the building.

Hang in there, Mike. Freedom needs you!
