Horse's ass cartoonist obviously watches Rachel Madcow.

Targeting Eric Holder, Darrell Issa buys into gun nut delusions.
My comment which was not accepted. If anybody else is able to get on there, please post for me.
Horsey,
How many ATF whistleblowers have you ever spoken with? I've spoken with twelve. Do you know how the whistleblowers got in touch with the Senators to begin with? Through me and my friends and it took two weeks to get their attention. Do you know how Sharyl Attkisson and CBS News got in tough with the whistleblowers? The same way. Do you know who has been breaking stories on this scandal ever since? Do you know that it was whistleblowers who told us that they were ordered to let guns walk in order to "boost statistics" of weapons found in Mexico to justify further gun control? Indeed, when it comes to the specifics of Obama administration gunwalking, do you know excrement from shinola?
Brian Terry is dead. Jaime Zapata is dead. Hundreds, if not thousands, of Mexican citizens are dead -- all as a result of this program being covered up by Obama and Co. But what's a few thousand dead Mexican bodies stacked up to you functional racist murderers if to protect your Dear Leader you have to cover up the true circumstances of their murders?
Sometimes it is only the despised who find and carry the truth. You may despise me, but you cannot deny the truth for very much longer.

The sentence in David Horsey's article that should tell you all you need to know about David Horsey:

"Pelosi may be wrong, but at least her theory has some political logic, which is more than can be said of the gun-nut fantasy being peddled by Darrell Issa."

Pelosi's conspiracy theory: As an answer, House Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has her own conspiracy theory. She asserted in her weekly press briefing that the Republicans are gunning for Holder with the clear aim "to undermine the person who is assigned to stop the voter suppression in our country. I’m telling you, this is connected. It is no accident."

That bit coming from Pelosi hardly makes it more logical.

Mike, I tried, but apparently La Times doesn't care for iPads.

Maybe I'll fire up a Windoze machine later today and try again. Maybe not.

I think the gist of his argument goes something like this:

A few guns were lost by supervisors in the Phoenix office who never communicated with people higher up and this is just a local issue, blah, blah...Faux News online journalist tin-hatted conspiracy theorist, blah, blah...NRA bogeyman blah, blah...paranoid delusional right-wing bitter clinging KKK-hugging gun nutters hoping to suppressing the black vote, blah, blah...Pelosi good Issa bad, blah, blah.

Bwahhaha. I give that trash talk the horse laugh.

If Horsey's diatribe is any indication, the fallout from Fast and Furious is gonna be lostsa fun.

Horsey buys into the spin by Eric Schultz and Tracy Schmaler 100% - He hasn't bothered to read Richard Serrano's LATimes stories which have come around since the very beginning when he didn't buy the conspiracy story spun on the web. The story will continue to whine and stretch and mislead - important to respond to each and every error published. Eventually ...

This is so great! The lefties, rather than deal in the real world with facts, have immediately embraced the "racist" motives. (Pelosi alluded to voter suppression but that was code.)

Playing the race card, over and over, indicates they know they are in big trouble.

And they are. :-)

Mike, After I left your comment a couple of johnny-come-latelys made some wise assed comments so I went back and left the following:

The investigation into operation fast and furious began after Bloggers Mike Vanderboegh and David Codrea were contacted in late 2010 by ATF agents who were disillusioned and frankly repulsed by the idea of being required by their supervisory personnel to allow criminals to buy guns and then stand by and allow those illegally purchased guns to be transported into Mexico. Those agents had complained to their superiors about the tactic of allowing the guns to "walk" and advised their superiors of their concerns that the guns would be used to kill people not only in Mexico but also in the US. The agents were told to shut up and do what they were told. One supervisor actually told one of the agents, "If you're going to make an omelet, you have to break some eggs."

After unsuccessfully attempting to talk their superiors into terminating the fast and furious operation the agents contacted Vanderboegh and Codrea who arranged to have them get in touch with Senator Grassley so they would hopefully be afforded whistle blower status in order to protect their careers and persons from retaliation.

As it turned out, fast and furious was still in full swing in December when Border Patrolman Brian Terry was killed on the US side of the border and two (possibly 3) of the guns that ATF had allowed to go into Mexico were recovered at the scene of his killing. It's been estimated that ATF "walked" guns have shown up at the murder scenes of between 200 and 300 Mexican citizens as well as at the ambush killing of ICE agent Jaime Zapate.

Only within the last month or so (with the exception of Sharyl Attkisson of CBS) has the media shown any interest in this story and Eric Holder has steadfastly refused to cooperate fully with investigations being implemented by the US Congress.

There is a wealth of information on operation fast and furious and the following coverup dating back to 2010. Google: David Codrea, Mike Vanderboegh, War on Guns, Sipsey Street Irregulars, National Gun Rights Examiner, Seattle Gun Rights Examiner, St Louis Examiner, Sharyl Attkisson at CBS. If you're really interested in doing something other than just sitting back and wallowing in your ignorance you really ought to do some research. You've got a lot of catching up to do before you start ridiculing folks who actually do know what they're talking about.

Mike, I saw the show, and immediately went to the MSMBC blog for her show and commented almost exactly the same as you. However, I added one thing.

"BTW Ratchel, congratulations on your new book. And speaking of drift, ya'll might drift on by McDonalds as rumor has it there is a position open at McDonalds due to Ronald's imminent retirement. Your qualifications are a slam dunk, not to mention your experience as a total buffoon. Besides, it offers a step up the prestige ladder. Good luck"

When I saw her circus act analysis of F&F, I almost ROTFLMFAO. Buffoon is a massive understatement.
Ok, where was I..um oh yea...I'll try DOLTS for $2k..AGAIN.

It is amazing the extent people will go to protect their own ideological comfort level. Not just reporters, but think about trial lawyers a minute. Trial lawyers suing on behalf of "indigenious peoples" for exploitation by evil corporate and government practices are very busy during republican administrations. But give them the names of Mexicans murdered with weapons illegally transported across international boundries on the order of Eric Holder and they remain silent.
Through an illegal order of the Attorney General of the United States of America, weapons were illegally transported across international boundries for the express purpose of causing murder and not one lawyer from the Association for Justice can think of a case to file. Not one law school has a legal clinic that can pursue a claim. The victims rot in their silent graves and no one cares. The next time the media presents a special interest story about selfless lawyers fighting claims on behalf of international victims of U.S. policy, remember the reason is ideological, not benevolent.

I love the mindset that it is some sort of wild conspiracy to suggest the Obama admin and the ATF would never have done something to justify further gun legislation. Or that when Pelosi suggests this whole effort is to keep blacks from voting that is a credible line of thought.

Really? What about the clip of a much younger Eric Holder specifically saying that the american people need to be brainwashed on their views on guns in order to ban them? What about what was clearly orchestrated talking points about how many firearms in Mexico were US privately purchased from gun shops? What about Brian Terry's death and the firearms associated with it being covered up?

What about Obama telling Brady that they were working on some back door attempts at gun laws?

What about what the actual ATF whistleblower agents had to say? What about all of the denials that F&F even existed and what happened actually took place?

I was a witness to what Drudge did to Clinton and know this: If the little boy Maddow and the Obama sycophant at the LA Times are focusing on attacking you, that means they are very, very concerned. They did the same character assassinations on Drudge that ended up only increasing readers to his page and his influence over a decade ago.

But they did those because they were concerned about the story going viral and mainstream sources picking it up, and the media being unable to control and censor the discussion of the facts on the issue. These attacks are a very, very good sign and mean that things are about to get a lot more interesting.

I sense official ad hominem talking points!
Eric Holder should be vilified and held in contempt by all reasonable citizens...look at how many successful prosecutions he has against the Super-Villains of Wall Street.Zero..he is a TOTAL FAILURE.
And also a felon at large.

A FELON.

Trialdog suggested a name list for all the Mexican's killed w/ F&F guns.

I'd love to have a cut and paste version of that list, is it posted somewhere?

Except that the unintended consequences of giving that kangaroo court legitimacy over US citizens might be dire.
