Today is the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre

Whenever my daughters and I are watching some movie about atrocities such as this or the Rwandan genocide or the Holocaust, I always ask them the question: "And what didn't they have?" The answer they have learned to give is simple: "Firearms." "Damn right," I reply, "and the will to use them."

Damn right Mike, We get too caught up in arguments over cal. or brand, or other BS. All we realy need to know is; Are YOU willing to stand with your Brothers/Sisters and face the armys of HELL. Its realy that simple.

My wife has a coworker from mainland China and she does not think well of the "tank man" as the fellow in that photo is sometimes called. From speaking with her I gathered that the Chinese value order highly - possibly more highly than individual liberty.

It doesn't make sense to me, either. but different peoples have different priorities. Perhaps whoever said "People get the government they deserve." was right. I definitely believe he was right here.

The Tank man's image should be in the "Bravery Dictionary".

Tank man is the Isaac Davis of China. A free man willing to stand and die to protect that freedom. The difference is Isaac Davis had a musket.

Non-Communist Chinese people have a tendency to be inspired by political prisoners and vocal anti-government types like the blind one who just sought asylum here. Your wife's co-worker is obviously a Communist.
