ATF Agent: "Unfortunately the objectives usually have nothing to do with the best interest of the Government or the public."

You've heard of Luke Skywalker? Meet Bill Gunwalker.

Early this morning, ATF agent 1DesertRat posted this on CleanUpATF.org regarding the motives of SAC William D. "Bill" Newell:

Have any of you non-ATF employees reading these posts ever ask yourselves “where is the adult supervision in that organization?” As “gunwalker” continues to gain attention, the guys in the Phoenix Division rumored that the number of “walked” guns could be as high as 3,000. So, where is the adult supervision that says “this case is not going anywhere and we are doing more harm than good so STOP?” These cases were approved by the RAICS, ASIC, SAIC and HQ managers. So the question is why?

Well the word from Phoenix is that the SAIC Newell wanted to be able to track where these guns were going in Mexico. As such, the analysts have made pretty charts with lines showing where these guns have turned up. I am not sure how that stems the flow of guns South, especially considering these guns usually get recovered alongside dead bodies.

Fox News about a year ago did a good report to disprove the myth that most of the crime guns recovered in Mexico came from the US. This report was based upon evidence they obtained in part from ATF trace reports. However, with the recent flooding of guns being “walked” to Mexico by ATF (intended to be future crime guns) there is statistical evidence to demonstrate an escalated flow of guns going South from the US. The solution…….(Part I) take “data” to Congress to get more money, Agents and stuff to battle the flow of guns to Mexico….but actually spend it “wherever” .

(Part II) Mr. Newell takes his nice charts and graphs and establishes himself as the “expert” SAIC on guns going South (after all, he is on the border…right?). Next, he gets himself selected for the attaché position in Mexico (which he was politicking for all along). End result is that he now gets out from under an upside down home loan (thanks to the Government relocation buyback program) and an all expense paid vacation to Mexico. Couple of years socking away big bucks in Mexico (with no expenses) and he will be ready to head back to D.C.

I guess the moral of the story is that there really is an objective to ATF management’s actions. Unfortunately the objectives usually have nothing to do with the best interest of the Government or the public.

We all knew that what they do is not in the interests of the public. But, also not in the interests of the government??

I think that Dear Leader (and past administrations) are well aware of this situation, but are keen on letting it continue.

Why? Because they want chaos. Gunwalker is just one cog in an overall plan.

As the puppet-master Henry Kissinger recently said about the unrest in Egypt: "This is only the first scene of the first act of a drama that is to be played out."

You can bet your sweet Granny's Grits that it will happen here. What better excuse for martial law?

His final paragraph might have sewn up understatement of the year early. It can also be applied to at least 90% of all government agencies and departments.

It's my contention that NONE of the BATFags' objectives, with respect to firearms and probably explosives, pass Constitutional muster (it's that pesky "shall not be INFRINGED" thingy, you know). I am firmly convinced that the F and E agents should be sold into slavery in some foreign land, with the proceeds going to make restitution to their victims, like David Olofson; that their lands and buildings be torn down and sown with salt; and their "General Counsel" be tarred, feathered and hanged by the neck until dead, after the same sort of trial they give their victims!

This is typical of the ATF "Bat Boys" solution to a problem that didn't exist. I have not heard of any arrests during the last few years of any "Gun Smugglers"
As a matter of fact it would appear that the BATFE may have smuggled more guns than all the other smugglers combined. This agency needs to be abolished, All management fired and agents moved to other agencies

Sad but true... People like him don't care about anyone but themselves and WILL use those under them to advance their own agenda, then throw the same people under the bus.
