In the insatiable appetite for control, Obamanoid EPA seeks to regulate farm dust.

"On the collective farms of the future, Dear Leader Obama will prevent the scandalous waste of topsoil represented by the photo above. He will do this by jailing the disobedient kulaks and taking away their fuel-wasting farm vehicles."

That's right, the EPA is going to control dust.

Well it kinda figures. Stalin went after the farms in Ukraine and they will have all those city folks to feed. Makes sense to me.

Guess even the farmer will have to have an alternate relocation site.

G*d forbid we should do anything about this, lest we disturb the dust at good ole' Ft. Sumter. Starving to death seems like a good option, long as we'uns can keep the peace, ja? I understand that that there moral high ground is covered with the bones of it's adherents.

Is this for real? if so, it in itself is proof that mental illness is no bar to government employment.
I suppose farmers could waste water, during these times of DROUGHT, to keep the dust down. It would only cost them a few hundred or thousand dollars out of their already slim profit margins.

G-d! The EPA would have kinniptions, kittens, cows, fits and orgasms during the Dust Bowl era!
Another organization to add to the target-rich list.

Amen.

And I will paraphrase, People who will not kill in their own defense are doomed to be the slaves of any other/s who will kill for any reason that suits them.

What are "they" going to do about the millions of miles of dirt roads in this country? Use their government employees to pave them all? What a job creator!

Like one commenter stated.... You can't fix stupid but you can make them smaller by voting them out.

Register and vote November 2, 2010!

Believe it. At a large environmental controls project at a power plant, for "fugitive emissions" they had to run a water truck up and down the main road periodically to wet it down and keep the dust down.

Now use your imagination and consider similar construction projects all over the country being similarly forced to create mud to avoid dust.

Nothing new here. In the California Imperial Valley, this was done years ago, Dep of ag came down hard on the farmers due to excess dust. Seems they'd put sensors to detect how much dust was thrown up, and it was way excessive.

also seems that they put the sensors right on the border.

and then some of the farmers pointed out that the sensors and wind direction meant the dust was actually coming out of mexico, and the U.S. farmers didn't have anything to do with it.

Didn't matter. Dep of ag still mandated 'dust controls', or heavy fines. Typical.

makes me wonder how many of those dust sensors lasted though.

The novel "The Last Centurion" by John Ringo has a subthread dealing with the go0vernment takeover of private farms in the US. As you might expect, nothing good comes of it, but Ringo does examine the mindset of the typical liberal fuzzy thinkers attempting to grow crops based on beliefs instead of knowledge and experience.
Note: the book is told from the perspective of a serving soldier so the language is a bit salty.

Yeah, and you can make them shorter by putting them in a permanently prone position.Plus - it's good for the soil!

What about British Petroleum spraying toxic Corexit and murdering the Gulf of Mexico-and likely the Gulf Coast? Are the EPA apparatchiks all over their shit?(that's a hypothetical question-they're providing cover for them.)

For those who are going to join or form farming co-ops, tell the Marxists that first...

Sounds like another plan to increase the cost of food. I guess that is how Michelle Obama plans to reduce the weight of Americans! What BS. When will they learn...

I have said for decades "Those who can, do. Those who cannot go into government so they do not have to." Just another example of government employees doing something utterly stupid.

Kinda reminds me of Wichita, Ks back in the 70's. They had a sniper downtown. Boy was shooting at anything that moved. Meter Maids were running amok writing parking citations for people "illegally parked" in the street. they even cited one poor bastard who was dead. He caought a round dead center in the forehead and his car rolled up onto the sidewalk. Meter maid had to get creative about attaching the ticket to the car since a good part of the driver's side windshield was shot away. IMS the ticket held up in court and came out of the guy's (doubtlessly meager) estate.
