"The criminals are going to run wild."
"California Market owner Richard Rhee returns fire at looters approaching his market in Koreatown, Los Angeles on the second day of the Los Angeles Riots."
By the time the gangs start running wild in the streets, those stupid libtards will be screaming for someone with a gun to come save them. And with a mighty middle finger salute, we go about our own business. After all the venomous posts from them lately, I see no reason to risk my neck to save someone who 2 months earlier wanted me locked up for owning a gun. Let them suffer the consequences of their actions. As so many of them like to point out, just let nature take it's course. Semper Fi, 0321
That's just an article by and for a member of the ruling elite, attempting to enhance the myth that government is all that protects us from the "state of nature".
The fact is government protects no one outside the ruling class.
East St. Louis, lock & load. The cops haven't been there for you anyway...look at the crime BEFORE the proposed lay-offs. And then the cops scream, "the blood is on YOUR hands!"
You citizens have been on your own for a long time anyway. Yeah - got militia? Better have, 'cause that's all you got left.
City Officials laying off more Police and Firemen than Office Personel and the Police and Firemen's Union not willing to take any loss of time or salaries, and who loses again the citizens.
Ya better get your shit together fast cause it´s only gonna get worse. The Federal Government is about out of credit so don´t look for more bail outs, unless the Fed just starts printing money like crazy and if they do that that money won´t be worth the paper it´s printed on $10 for a loaf of bread if not more in some places.
Everyone thinks about mob control and how to fend off XYZ Zombies Civilian and of the Government variety. What will you do if there is a fire at Your Ground Zero the Firemen are not comming NOW WHAT?
Have a source of water (pond or swimming pool will work) and a means of delivering (diesel pump and hoses) it where YOU Need it. I´ll bet not too many have thought of that. The self sustained have the Best chance of survival.
There are Predators and prey. That's why we have government. When the government won't do it's job or becomes a predator, new thinking on old issues is required.
I don't think anyone will dispute our current circumstances with respect to the "ruling class" and their opinions and desires about us and our country.
They mean to have it all, for themselves and their friends. Using our money to get it. Those that don't want to turn us onto a "scientifically" socialist utopia, that is.
This shouldn't be TOO much of a problem if this "citizenry" haven't been neutered and disarmed into the class and status of serfs. In fact, it may be BETTER (that is if they're armed) if they're taught about and practice S-S-S (shoot-shovel-silence). Nothing disturbs a foe (criminals in this case) psychologically more then one's own going in, and NOTHING coming back out.
And now we see that the political class at all levels, from micro (town & city) to macro (Federal) would rather cut the funding for the essential Constitutional services (police, fire and military); and leave the entitlements (welfare, foodstamps, etc) to their unproductive voting base alone. Anything to stay in power. Bread and circuses for the masses, while the empire crumbles around us all.
As has been said many times earlier by better men then I, if you ain't prepared by now, you'd better scramble to catch up. ANd you may be on yer own.
Those upstanding Koreans in this country are good people. They will do the same and worse if shtf. I hope there are many others brave like them who are not afraid to shoot back.
you know, I was there in the thick of the LA riots. The business owners of Korea Town decided that they would not be looted. They organized and stood their ground. The "rioters", in reality a communist guerrilla element (yes, communists) from the surrounding area came to loot and got fought to a standstill. What's really amazing is that both sides in the battle had prepared plans and both sides used their logistical element to resupply. The battle lasted for almost 20 hours, as I recall.
Anon 7:55 is partially correct. The savvy libtards have seen this coming. The ones with enough cash have already bought their safe havens in places like Blaine County, ID(Sun Valley) or in Kootenai County(Sandpoint). These "progressives" are not stupid. They are well aware of the Frankenstein monsters their wealth redistribution programs have created. They were wringing their hands after the first Watts Riot in '65, but that did not change their agenda. If any of them escape up my way, they'll be run out of town at gunpoint!
This is just a preview of what is coming to more and more American cities. But the problem will not be criminals running wild in the streets. The problem will be local governments (and States) using the crisis which they have generated to seize more money and control from the citizens.
This reduction in the numbers of firemen and police officers is just the “Washington Monument ploy” on a local scale. Whenever anyone suggests reducing the federal budget, congress critters claim that the Federal Government will be forced to close the Washington Monument and other popular tourist attractions in order to deal with budget shortfalls. That is all a lie!
All across the country, liberals have been telling lies that “shall issue” concealed carry laws would lead to an “Old West” style bloodbath in the streets. It has not happened anywhere. The liberals are lying that any police reductions will lead to a similar bloodbath in the street. They are lying again. Within the last month, Oakland, California, laid off about 80 police officers, around 10% of its police force. Since these were the police officers with the least seniority, and therefore those still actually out on the street doing police work and protecting citizens, the scaremongers of the City of Oakland raised the same alarms as are now being raised in East St. Louis. Did you notice all of the articles in the “mainstream” media about the tremendous jump in violent crime in Oakland since the layoffs? Neither did I. Obviously, they were lying in Oakland, just as they are lying in East St. Louis. The mainstream media has completely failed in its responsibility to accurately report the truth. It is failing again here.
I had to laugh about the threats from some “pastor” about gang activity, drug dealing, cold-blooded killing and other events in the “Open Field Day” they foresee. I was once stationed at nearby Scott Air Force Base, and I can assure you that such events have been going on for a long time. Maybe if the police get out of the way and let the law abiding citizens protect themselves, they will take out the trash. There aren’t really that many criminals in East St. Louis. If the citizens just deal with each criminal once, instead of using the revolving door that the police and the courts use, the problem won’t last very long at all.
If the citizens of East St. Louis really want to be safe and free, they will have to get rid of the entire city administration. The overpaid city administrators and their graft are the real problem, not the (rank and file) police and the firefighters. Look at Bell, California, whose citizens are now demanding the resignations of the city thugs who were extorting money from the people through taxes to enable a city administrator of a city of about 40,000 to draw a salary of almost $800,000.
The good people of East St. Louis (which is the vast majority of the city) should react to these threats exactly the same was as the rest of you should react when your city administration makes the same threats. Tell them, “Bring it on!”
By now, your preparations should be adequate to handle any criminal foolish enough to threaten you or yours. Take out the trash. Get together with your other alert and aware neighbors to establish a neighborhood watch program.
Basically, form your militia, as Mike suggests. Then, solve your problems.
The important point about this “crisis” in East St. Louis is that it shouldn’t be a rationalization for tax increases, more government control, and reduced liberties. It should be used as the trigger to take back your freedom, your local government, and your own money.
Sorry. My comment was too long, so this is the second half:

I'm really glad every time I hear the L.A. riots cited. A great example of what can happen when the disgruntled get any excuse to gather and destroy and steal. A wonderful example of "I don't think any civilian should be ALLOWED to have guns, but now *I* need one. What do you mean the 10-day waiting period I loved until yesterday applies to ME too?!" And, of course, a shining example of what a man or woman with a semi-auto rifle can do againt a mob.
East St Louis - Oh the memories... football game there in 1976... their incessant enthusiastic chant was: "East Side, East Side, East Side High. "White boy win, white boy die."
Sofa: You said it all. This will ultimately end up as a race war. After the gangsta rappers and their minions have totally ravaged the cities, they will start with the suburbs. Then they will expand outward as far as their supply of gasoline and plunder take them. It's all tribal. I saw it when I was a cop. Get prepared and get organized.

That is explained very well in America's Ruling Class -- And the Perils of Revolution.

Criminals WILL NOT run wild, assuming the population is not neutered and prevented from protecting itself.
Yeah, we all know how that works out in the cities.

Hey, now they have set up the scenario to declare martial law and NORTHCOM can take over.
A test run for the country?
