Need to re-barrel a Yugoslav M59/66

Suggestions on sources for a used barrel in excellent condition?

What's the rifle doing that suggests it needs a rebarrel?

Not sure of the condition, but Centerfiresystems has 'em listed:

I found some at -

I haven't bought one myself so I can't vouch for the quality, but here's what they say about it:

Barrel EXCELLENT Bore Yugo SKS 59/66 Rifle
Barrel with Excellent Bore, sharp rifling, shiny bore. Barrel is attached to Receiver Stub (cut). . Original YUGO SKS 49/56 Parts.

Best of luck!

The hardest part is finding a gunsmith with the Barrel vise for it. I replaced the Barrel on my Mosin with a spare from

Great service and quick. I ended up having to "rig" a barrel vise for it though.

My gunsmith condemned the barrel as unserviceable due to throat erosion. The old barrel is already off the receiver.

I have zero dollars in it as it was given to me in hopeless condition.

I want to try a project with it.

Thanks for the tips, guys.

Mike, I know you don't have a lot of money to throw around but check this out:

Use the stock you have with this and have a complete set of spares.
